Premium Member The World, a Colossal Sifter

Were the world a colossal sifter

dredging the landscape of toxins …

                   Could you contemplate existence worry-free?

Dredging Trump and Hedging

Dredging Trump and Hedging

For things about Trump did start dredging;
As usual his supporters had been hedging;
Is dimwitted;
Be committed;
Always doing bad things are all allegedly.

Hibernating For a Blissful Spring

dredging of the mind
banishing demons
new awareness
birth of a revolution
prismatical mirroring
of hope
tempting yet repelling
shades of deep winter
looming and crouching
hibernating for a
blissful spring

Untitled

I walk fast
but I act slow
Just as my emotions come over me;
Thick waves that take their time
To blot out my sunlight.

Out in my endless oceans
I’m dredging up ‘happiness’
But the word is blurry
Underwater—
Its meaning fades beneath layers of algae
Source undistinguishable.

Bloody Bond
Feeble pledge
Far sighting the bogus Lustre
Drenched in thoughts
Wrenching out words
With ideas in the trench
He was a wreck
Dredging in the mud
Wearing his other face
Facing his tomorrow
Fencing his fears
Benching all odds
In a world of doubt

Presence-19

Presence

When I reminisce
My hippocampus feels as if it’s been kissed
But dredging for when
Sigh I’m so far from zen
Lusting to know
What’s behind that door
Freeing my soul
Will be next years goal

When the Past Lives On In Memory

Dreading up the past
when the past has left us behind

Dredging up the past
when it insists on being left buried

Fledgling future is waiting to be born
when death refuses to let go of life's big toe

Pledging the future to be more forgiving
when memory works all to well for the living.
Form: Couplet

Wet

the thunder speaks with its loud voice
a lightning flash answers its call
the rain pours down, sheets of pain
its not cleansing, its just wet

each lightning streak flashes a memory
each thunder clap imparts a fantasy
dredging it up from that hidden place
but its just a storm and you're still gone

Whack and Wallop

Wham! That music is dainty.
But the bass drum gives it a kick.
Such tympanic contrast.
A tasteful tune with a rap,
such a whack, such a wallop.

Memory can tease, torture,
create that tasteful tune
while dredging up a thought
of something better not called back,
to avoid such a whack, such a wallop.

conscientious today
sharing my poetic light
penning my very first wonderful kerf

figuring out a way
to pen my unique insight
confidence shaken by blue papa smurf

in the manner of Joyce
there is a smile on my face
skating across ice as snow bunnies surf

dredging up my own voice
winning this poetic race
sliding into home as others windsurf

Past Burned Bed Sleep

Going Backwards
Like wet wood
The stance I took
I must have lost
To the leftovers
The flood drowned
In stench rotten carpets
That stole the smell
Of the family home
I torched the bed of the front room
No 1 wishes to sleep in
For fear of ghost's
New sheet's can't cover
From the undiscovered
Truth no 1 dare speak of
For dredging up the past

AWAKE IN LONG BEACH

awaiting the perk

from freshly brewed java

the lull in gull squabble over

a tide dredging up debris

blemishing beach

husband and wife

skiffs passing in night

each wake muster

“good morning”

sugar black coffee

crack boiled eggs

never a smile

their chink in armor

invisible

amour not at all

what it’s cracked up to be

The Box Where Remembrances Are Kept

On its plinth, behushed, at hall's end
Beneath clock, coaxed backwards
Privet-pungent, in its own
Sighed out thin light's regard.

At day's sagging end, dredging up
More dust, shuffling, each nears
Its emotional-responsive charge.
As with priest's holy fears.

Filling up for yore, propelled rough
Perpetual mud, that was
So light held what were golden times!
So thoughtless, a gemmed mass.

Crash

permanence is fleeting til the morrow
perpetrating and dredging up sorrow
circumstance proposes to all that follow
the kaleidascope of my mind entertains fans
to all those who want to peek into the show
i say come on in bring the whole clan
but be warned the only light is from my glow
the stadium is dirty from the last hoorah
the waves of love shown me affect my karma
crashing down my senses to your level

Premium Member Clean Heart- -

I heard a cleanly, fouled dredging
When I thought of the clean heart
When I thought of the clean heart
The fresh friend finishing
The groomed gut gargling
As of someone gently refinishing, refinishing
Deep into that darkness open
My mind always strays to furnishings
The groomed green-ware giving
The textiles came outliving
Covering me partially
Oh! God my house and heart filthy, dirty Lord God give me a clean heart

Toes In the Sand

Sunlight faintly broke through the clouds
Waves churned with loud clangor on the sea
Fog flowed in a winding river down to the shore
I was lost in pensive thoughts, toes dredging sand

I was lost in pensive thoughts, toes dredging sand
Fog flowed in a winding river down to the shore
Waves churned with loud clangor on the sea
Sunlight faintly broke through the clouds

Dredging Thoughts Written: by Tom Wright February 2015 On the river of life Of late I’m dredging, Thoughts from aged sand; My mind, like a bottle, That suddenly came uncapped, Pours forth long disregarded contents, From when life was good, And mostly pleasing, Things thought heretofore Forever trapped, I’m finding, Was just capture and liberate; The older I get, the more I have to remember, And the less I retain. Conversion of Sacred Life Into Money

A depersonalized holocaust slowly proceeds
Under convertible assuaged currency
Separate disparate lives, anonymous dredging
Tear against the land, air, and crawling

Human hands finalized the creed
Scourging banks to let the biosphere bleed
Recognizing no natural dignity
Expect that converted into commodified property

Distraction allows us to peel away
Taking the mind narrower still
And filling the void with caramelized exchanges
Simply look away
The slave servitude continues
