The slowest dolphin
Swims faster than a cheetah
Wearing costume fins;
So I'll do my best, knowing
No dolphin can run like me
D is for Dreamy
O is for Optimistic
L is for Loving
P is for Perfect
H is for Happy
I is for Interesting
N is for Neat
a dolphin i hardly knew
a pot of jellyfish stew
a seahorse swims by
a beer barreled pie
a deep sea fish barbecue.
thinking ocean life silly
dolphin edna mae tilly
ashore amid cheers
a squeak for new years
then boards a bus for philly.
Deep end diving; shallow end Fear.
Barbecue host and nobody near.
Crystal, shimmering; fish to eat. . .
Lounge chair Dolphin wets her feet.
Were I bird so high I would fly
Were I dolphin how fast would I swim
Were I a horse how far would I roam
But human am I so what will I do?
At last researchers can reveal
Bottlenose dolphins love to squeal
They enjoy each day
Promiscuous play
That smile on their face is for real!
a sea acrobat
a smart, friendly pint-sized whale
bottlenose dolphin

Dripping Dry
It’s fun not
to lie,
Dishes are done
let’s have some
Fun!
Friday Night
At last
Time for a Blast
Take it all in
Like a Dolphin
that swims
Swim as you are king
flying quickly in thick air
gliding slowly to the depths
all fish observant
silver knight fight your dragon
no fire...many jagged teeth
playful dolphins popped out of lake
frolicking like sixties Chip and Dale cartoons
Bringing a smile to my face
adding a new kind of joy to sundown at the lake
A guide and protector -
I’m a soul connector
and your pain is known to me.
From mates I rarely stray;
in waves I love to play.
Join me! Find joy in the sea.
Is a barber or scissors the snipper?
A shoeless man, or sock, the slipper?
Why was mom, not a housewife, but a stripper?
You may as well ask a dolphin - Flipper?
Leave me behind I don't need a crowd
nor synthetic sounds that are too loud
Drop me off at the shore by the seaside
I will climb a dolphin, don't need a ride
Streak past cheetah
Fly over eagle
Lower than mole
Skip over squirrel
Jump higher than grasshopper
Swim deeper than dolphin
Be what you imagine!
Form:
dolphin shaped island
under a turquoise sky
calm and serene
you honor my soul dream
playful thoughts enter my mind
I want to dance from your head to your flippers
A bird flew beyond the ridges,
In search of prey beneath the bridges.
'Hello', the dolphin greeted her,
But she ignored cos of her task.
She'd returned now with no riches!

They spin in mid air
out of the water they come
cool looking dolphins.

I have never heard of this kind of dolphin before. I'm watching a nature show.
hand of coral islands
south of Sri Lanka
in the Indian Ocean
scuba diving
snorkeling. surfing,
dolphin watching
paddle boarding
i run to shake Maldive's glorious hand
eighty degrees average
dazzling frothy dolphin dives in dual dynamic with daughter
I marvel at their beauty, and their diving prowess
They astound, astonish, delight and disarm me
I feel one with them, a kindred dolphin
I fished in the sink for a cod
and landed a whole dolphin pod;
the bath and the loo
were full of them too -
but whales were too much for the rod...

Dolphin is winning it! The Picklemeister said.
You are crazy! Cow is right up there, way ahead!
Racing to the finish with a final enormous bound.
Spectators so enthralled, they did not make a sound.
Death's otherworldly vision
Re-emerges here.
Fish-eyed. No water realm's
Weighed for atmosphere!
Dazzles; lit, tunnel-like
A-swish and a-swirl.
Upwards where briefly, dolphin
Infused of joy-whirl.
Color me azurite; Malachite isles upon Lapis blue seas.
I sail the waves, moved by Gaia’s tranquil, reverberating song.
On the horizon, dolphin arcs play; brother sun laughs.
fiery sun
emerges
from dark sea
seashells
scattered about
litter the beach
as dolphins tumble
in capped waves
tips of white froth
caress gray sand
lone footprints
fade
