Shore To Rise

fiery sun
emerges
from dark sea

seashells
scattered about
litter the beach

as dolphins tumble
in capped waves
tips of white froth
caress gray sand

lone footprints
fade

Wonderful words that describe loneliness amidst the beauty of the seashore, you have a distinct style which is so appealing!

Thank you John, I think I wrote this for a contest and then decided not to enter it....it's been awhile since my muse has sang so if i find an inspiration i act on it! The ocean is my favorite place to be, I am a couple hours from it but go as often as i can! I caught the dolphins playing at sunrise on video! I find walking at sunrise on an almost empty beach is so relaxing, so much beauty to see!

I've always enjoyed the solitude of walking along the beach in early morning; this poem took me there, Sandra. I love the simplicity of this. John
