Premium Member A Stare Stabbed Me -
A stare stabbed me –
My eyes darted – a presence
Loomed large, electrically.
A horned owl was my assailant.
A rest in a mesquite tree
Made a meeting of chance.

Through the glass door –
The dividing line of succession –
We wondered about the other
Who should have dominion.
By the talons I could discern
‘Twas the owl that won....

Vintage Season
Dew dots the folicles of the earth,
raised in static praise of what came and left,
what dreams did come.

Blades drank down to dirt and marrow,
parched and harrowed, juandiced in the light of Ra.
But he has gone the way of Tiamat.

The Border In Your Mind
THE BORDER IN YOUR MIND

The border in your mind...
The dividing line,
Between me and you, and
You and me.

The borderline we hide behind.
The crying child on the dusty road
Without clothes-heading towards you,

The dividing line between
Me and you, and
You and me,
And me and Me....

Premium Member Where Water and Sky Entwine
And in meditation I drift
to where the water and sky meet,
on rolling waves bright blue and swift.
   Oh, heavenly retreat,
            here, I want to stay,
            and sun falling- delay.
Floating where water and sky entwine,
and there is no dividing line.

Dividing line defies defined
Not who but where was I
Was I in eyebrows expressing midst reflexive twitching
Was I behind closed eyes, squeezing hand on polite command
Was it fully I present for first memory…if just for a moment, discontinuously
I strongly desire a marker, to wrap my mind around, to structure
But in truth so long I was in between…my existence flatly in doubt
Dead certain entering the void…no way to say when I came back out...
