buzzing night hours

I am broken in, i’ve learned
i have got no message to return

my ears ring, the streets sing
with your smile on displace
tomorrow takes today

Death Forest

Danger cracks while fears blow by
White flames reflect on the forests' face
Obtuse angled deaths and white roses
Still hang in their branches as memories displace

A Siren's Call

Can prayer overcome
  karma

Can wishes rise above
  fate

Can memory displace
  what vision instills

Can love pass beyond
  —without hate

Coming About

We make the truth we need
to worship gods of time
And love in spite of hate
whose conjure ill defined

We set the past in stone
to keep tomorrow chaste
And travel inward free of both
—whose presence we displace

Unpleasant Dreams Miracle Man 3/16/2023 At each days end, some dream time I embrace. I need restful sleep, but my pain I can’t displace. Sleep is short because pain, shares my bed-space, And at night’s end, reality, stares me in the face.

A radiant beam of sunlight
Is how I'd describe your sweet face
It draws me in and holds me there
Unable my gaze to displace
There's a dream I have quite often
One in which you are staring at me
And in silent reply I look into your eyes
And get lost in their warming embrace

Firefighters

Fortune favors the bold
who climb up the ladder
in a fireman's outfit
to see what's the matter.

To the ones who wear gold
that ride into the night
to face the fiery blaze
and who displace their own fright.

At the drop of a dime
and at the ring of the bell
these heroes we rely on
and who do their job well.

New Birth

Life springs unplanned
Her child 3 months resting
A glow in her eye, she reveals
The hidden destiny

What of love?
The birth is a problem
Doesn't fit this year's projections
Uneasy boyfriend shuffle and exchange
Rearrange, displace, and fret
What to do now?

Life continues unburdened
Accidents all the same

Look forward to tomorrows joys
Be steady and keep your pace and
while you work without you knowing
you will scale the challenges you face
You didn't notice the imbued spirit
that was gained as you traveled through,
prayer with your creator was all you needed to do
to displace the stubborn rock of change to
an abundant more glorious you.

Love Philosophizes

Love philosophizes:
I will eulogize obstruction
I will displace your obstruction
You and I are one. Frugally: - “Who can be this one” Squealing! - “The free seller”. The seller is fled and I know his place, disguises and winks, there in the lane’s backside birds bid streams for dryness.
Love me with no pocket
Though I muse on those pockets you own.

No Secrets

You said no secrets
But you asking her for advice
You confide in her on the regular
No secrets
You said I was your best friend
No I feel displaced
How did I displace myself in your world
No secrets
Or you selfish
I bring you dinner to the job
No avail
No secrets
You come home tired distant
No secrets
I smell her scent like a sweet smell of sensual
loving
No secrets

Held high I hold; Displace visions told; From my heart to my soul; I'm not letting the story go; My highest aim is my goal; Let go letting gone see; Are those compelling me; To belong where I need not call; My vision is blurred, I'm missed understood; As my life on hold yet I fall; WHAAAT!!!!!!!

Pure Race

This is an important race
That welcomes not a dragged pace:
Would you have Neil take your place
And fat smiles line up his face?
It is, as I said, Pure Race,
In which one guns for first place
And this does at a fast pace...

A winner's sweat on one's face
In odd delays not a trace
Of what what attract Divine Grace
You just watch: He'll you displace
Who'd wanted to you replace.

Thoughts

The day is hiding
in the night's hinges.
Tired eyes displace
the falling light.

My thoughts wander
with the waves of remembrance
like lonely clouds,
fading in the wind.

History hides its torn face
behind trees and fields,
becomes unreal.

The bone china petals
of the orchid
on my window sill
brighten my day.

My thoughts
lay off their heaviness
and lead me back to present.

Written: by Tom Wright January 2015 My memory, Is a site inhabited By a few shallow graves, For no painful matter have I interred, That Satan doesn’t periodically excavate it. He’s like an aging dog, digging up old bones Even when I displace to another location, He shows up marking an x on the spot Give me the person with burning desire, And you can have the one with talent. Nebulous Streams, Clouding My Brain

Nebulous Streams, Clouding My Brain

Sleeping death through timeless space
Nocturnal Nebulae that will displace
Misanthropic minds of clustered clouds
Bipolar builders of sacred shrouds

Elucidative echoes of enchanted eyes
Decussate delusions that shall arise
Carnal contortions camouflaging spheres
Deleterious dust expanding light years.

Love

I hate how I look at you
with such destain and such
because of how i saw your face
with love and a warm embrace
the way that your eyes glisten
in the sun wether they be green
blue or brown, but now i will tell you
it is time for us, like oil and water displace
i hate that you wore a mask
of perfect love and perfect grace
but i now hope that we can leave this
place with utter kindness
and let each other have our space

Winter Wonderland

Descend do these droplets
Landing in locations to later displace
Falling fast from the sky
Onto cavorting child's face
Alight, they arrive; shattering small
But joining again, one whole are they all
Smothering and covering,
Blanketing our Nation
Stripping of color,
All of God's creation.
Obscure are our bluebirds
Belated, approach new birds
Suppressed; a love song
Yet life goes along
Encompassed in our Winter Wonderland.
