Dream a Love One True
A Love
One True
Is A
Dream
I See
You
As I
Am Dancing
Freely
Sailing On
The Ocean
Dinning Beyond
The Sea
Yet I
Woke Up
From A
Dream A
Love One
True...

Wine, Whining
Yes we have no wine
feeling insecure makes one want to whine
shinning sun gives us time
no dinning well is with out wine
oh sublime beautiful nature walk in time....

Sadden Why'
Poor taste

Stolen goods on a plate

Dinning with the ugly

I smile

But

Only then

To see past the mirror of disdain

I must first treat my wounds from living lonely.

History's Horse-Hooves
History’s horse-hooves are clattering by,
Cobblestones ring with sound,
Dinning our frightened ears
Over the future’s ground,
Signaling coming years.
But hooves trample you and me.
Damned history....

Dinning Out
Tap the heart keep love in
Turn the spout to fill yours
Breath in the fresh new wine
Sipping it one drop at a time
Light a candle keep love warm
Server them as a waiter would
Taste each morsel as if a new day
Filling the soul with Love...

Premium Member The Price of a Meal
Oh, Penguin, how can you stand

In this dark and frozen land

Eating from the same old dish

Squishy Squids and finny fish

From the freezing depths you fly

Up and out into the sky

Then land abruptly on the ice

Dinning here, sure has it's price...

Gnarled Roots
I've turned away from the city of my years

                            still it keeps on dinning its dins in my ears;

                                                   neon nights,

                                                 smoggy sights,

the gnarled roots of who I am, my joys, my fears....

Delicious Foods
Foods very delicious and delectable,
Prepared by the caring cooks and chefs,
What a blessing as a senior,
To sit and sup with friends,
Days without end,
Iee cream desserts and tea,
Beautiful music to serenade us,
Days with relatives and friends,
Dinning with excellence,
A blessing from God,
I am very thankful..

The Hour Glass of Time
Wax and polish shinning;
Offering up a hand
On beggars banquet dinning;
They danced through magic land
       And on the isle of magic trances;
With songs heard in the breeze
      You can spot the ghostly glances;
      Of-wishers on their knees
Failed hearts and pinning;
Those self-inflected brands;
There’s seldom silver lining’s
In the glass that spills the sand...

Strangeness
In the dining room
I see strange people
At my table
Always
Even if my cat is awake
My wife serves crab soup
my daughter does home work
my neighbor reads Ramayana
Sky is serene
no smoke not a ghost
no prehistoric emotions
Or paranormal scenes
At least there should not be
Any bad dreams
I am foolish they say
I must go to a psychiatrist
But I am scared of strangeness
the nowhere people bring
At my dinning table...

Premium Member Burlap and Satin
Considered a debonair through and through I got used to the most expensive hotels. And I was catered to and pampered, that's true, oft dinning on steaks and oysters on half shells. But I fell in love with the country in you, and before I knew it, I heard wedding bells; moved to the homestead, and watched the pigs fatten, a combination of burlap and satin. Premium Member The Thanksgiving Meal
The turkey in the oven
In the early afternoon
Getting hungry now
Mashed potatoes, carrots
Put out the cranberry sauce
On the dinning room table
Time to check the turkey
Disappointed, uncooked
Wait a few hours
It is still uncooked
So we had the cooked stuff
With the stuffing mix

When the turkey was ready
Our stomachs were full
Homemade cherry cake
Was the finishing touch
Our meal was not so bad
Turkey served the next day...

Ogori-Magongo
This is Ogori-Magongo,
a land of many hills
towering high
above houses and
farmlands
scattered about
like cowries cast
on a diviner's tray.

Ogori-Magongo,the land
where gunshots herald
 moments of merriment
with well-wishers
dinning till tummies
threaten to burst,
and wining
till senses go to sleep.

Ogori-Magongo,
a stream from where
emerge
many intellectual hippos
whose steps quake the
earth.

N.B. Ogori-Magongo is a
community in Kogi state of
Nigeria....
