Ex-Mayor Jayne Byrne

Former Mayor of Chicago, Ms. Jayne Byrne
about mood swings and temper tantrums had what to learn

To differentiate her from the Panama Canal
Ask yourself which
~ One of them was a busy ditch

Belief

GOD: the goodness of determination,
a standard for better living creation.
to differentiate a civil or wild nation,
for smoothness a better flow no tension,
only patience, belief, trust asks to confirm.

The Whites and the Blacks

It's difficult to differentiate,
the pegeons and the doves,
because of their blood,
red all the times.

They behave the same way,
and the creator is the same!
different colour,one people,
the whites and blacks

A Soul So Like My Own

A soul so very like mine own and yet so different still
in the language of silence a thousand words unspoken
Lifting each other up we differentiate our differences
in this dramatic stage we prop, we are temporal too

Morning Perception

Yes it was a good morning until it wasn’t-
how that did so last,
Though now it’s night and lights are bright
Morning- in the past.
Though reflecting back I can differentiate,
contemplate and calculate-
Good and bad and not too late,
To perceive a morning great.

Live Within Your Means

Citizenry
Should learn
To differentiate between needs and wants
Much more before they waste their resources
Hard-earned money

Right now
Swift understanding
To differentiate between needs and wants
Someone to live without a want
Only a need

Whats Mine

Opened heart, forgiving will, honest eyes...for what?
I stand here alone and confused.
Am I blind? I can't seem to differentiate truth from destructive lies.
I lost touch with my own spirt guide.
And I can't seem to conclude why..
Take a moment to see whats inside... that is mine.

Dream Weaver

A dream within a dream enraptured me in sleep
and as I am suspended between the two, I keep
them both in separate spheres
in an attempt to differentiate the pair

But they keep going to and fro
as I try to keep up with their flow;
then as my snoring plays it's sad refrain
I'm back in yet another dream again

At One - Undone

The mirror cannot differentiate myself from the crimson comforter i'm drenched in
Mom never let me eat in bed and now i sleep in crumbs.
The lucky spider lurking up the window sill will live on-
A messy tangle that lacks serotonin is its savior tonight
Scattered sacred sentiments screaming
“She was something else before all this happened!”

Smell of An Angel

The dark
Glow-worm's lounge
Your smile
I can not differentiate
Sweet dreams and
you are playing with my dreams
Your lips, hairs, and hands
I can feel them all
I can breathe your smell
You and the dark both love me
If I get your touch
I will wrestle with the evil day
Daydreams, and the galaxy
If you come in my life
I will leave this earth

Listening

I want to just be quiet
Become overwhelmed by silence
mull things over a bit
think about my wants and needs
differentiate between the two
decide why what should be isn’t
how what is came to be

I want to do nothing
halt any progression taking place
not say yea or nay
refuse to make a choice
and select the wrong path
I just want to sit
be quiet
and listen

Moral Attributes

Every person has an attributes
That differentiate him from others
Some people are attributed by wisdom
Others are attributed by reason
And some people are attributed by honesty
But good morals bring together all good qualities
And you will leave an imprint
That will not disappear
Even after your departure
Hold on to your morals and you will rise.

A Student's Work

Occupations are not
all useful, like when Sisyphus rolls
and nobody cares. Even Camus
can’t justify my love
of quantum or calculus, when it’s burn-lonely
rolling out the integrals: I integrate
myself into a human
-ist Existentialist here’s the point -ist
theory of why I am why I am
and when I differentiate my parents
chide me. I gather the pieces again.

The Gifted

Everyone is born with two eyes
Gifted uniquely
To see a wider view
To see the left and the right
To see the right and the wrong
To see the good and the evil
To see happiness and sadness
To see the materialistic and the spiritual
To study
To differentiate
To choose
To care
But not to ignore
The gifted and the surroundings
The loved ones
Lastly your God and his teachings

Sameach B'Chelko

Sameach B'Chelko (??? ?????)
To Be Content with One's Lot,
Without, one Overreaches,
Sabotaging Can, with Cannot,
Learning as such is Egregious,
Succumbing to an Ego Plot,
Cleverly Whispering 'Genius!'

Only Torah is Satisfying & Enjoyable,
Differentiate: 2 Exclusive Concepts,
Both, Not at Once Employable,
Enjoyment eventually Decrepits,
In the Ordinarily Pursuable,
Only the Extraordinary Has Both Exist!

A Passing Object

for who i am right now,
i'm but the result of someone's monstrous generosity
first they would show you the bright colors
and later sink their teeth into your skin
was it a cactus hidden among the flowers?
or was it a snake in the lake?
this poet couldn't differentiate as
they both share their thorn and fangs with you
and for so long, i tried to make sense of it all
only to realize i was a passing object you never needed

Ego's Game of Life and Death

It can't be that important
If I believe it came
That it arrived here long ago
And I did play its game

I saw the ones before me
I saw them all the same
It told me differentiate
By giving each a name

I saw a world give voices
To those who would take aim
With bow and arrow, knife, or gun
To decimate and maim

It can't be that intrusive
If I don't go to shame
But now I make a better choice of
Where I place my blame

Impertanance

My instincts say, evolve,
My instincts say, resolve,
They whisper in my genes
Keep moving, there because

Question everything, they say
I think that’s what I hear
Reproduce, your coded self
All that you hold dear

Me that’s just another way
Differentiate my quest
Dreadnaught or an open hand
Conscientiousness at best

Mark these words
To comfort
Belay a story told
Who would doubt their impulse?
Who would be so bold?

The 22nd of December

The longest night,

 The shortest day

 The 22nd of December.

The Sun turns into another way

Putting more warmth into the amber,

Into the humans hearts that pray

For love, for peace, for happiness,

 For Merry Christmas!

 The 22nd of December!

The Sun has got its own reasons

 To differentiate the seasons.

 And Jesus Christ birth

 On our beautiful Earth

 Was also the Suns grace

 From the magic space.

The Mystical Temple of Poetry

Once freed of boring prodigious questions. Once freed of all poetic forms. Once freed of trying to impress you with imagery. Once freed of following all norms. Then and only then, may I enter the mystical temple of poetry. Then and only then, the incense of me rises to an aromatic alchemy, Of such integral and truthful intensity. That to differentiate the poet from the  poem, is a total impossibility. September 26, 2019

Truly

Quiet, secluded among myself
Shadows drift and sway around
Encompassing my mind
To filch my uniqueness

Alone and misunderstood
The gates of life are opened to me
And only I can walk through
As I differentiate from everyone

Lonely remembrances
Engulf the shadows
Toiling and stealing around me
Fighting back against the normalcy of the world

There is no greatness
No joy or hopefulness
In shutting down yourself
To become another persons "normal" image

True Love

True love never lies
True love never dies
True love is such a bliss
True love begins with a kiss
True love is overloaded with passion
True love comes in one kind of fashion
True love will never differentiate
True love will never abrogate
True love cant be bought
True love cant be taught
If true love does come your way
Here's some things I have to say
True love never lies
True love never dies
For true love is forever true
And, my love, this poem
Is for you . . .

She Sailed Into the Suffering Seas

She sailed into the suffering seas,

Just like she through the mist sees.

Her heart lurches at the hint of land,

All she pines for is a heap of sand!

Ages since the smell of green,

And the familiar taste being only winds.

She's withered by the sea now,

She knows not to differentiate senses how!

But she's alive, it's enough it seems,

For existence is her only ordeal,

Her worn out gown no more feels,

Lonely in the suffering seas......!!!

Man Cave

Meandering digression as you ran to your man cave.
Full of contempt, with no one to save.
Learning to differentiate your burdensome emotional baggage.
While I sit by the stove top cooking some cabbage.
A tattered room full of mold and mildew.
No perfume, to dignify your smell.
Of bellowing hate while your false dignitary acted like a tall tale.
As, I stood all alone opening the mail.
Development detachment of devoid
While I played my loud music to drown out the noise.
