Justice Rubbed In the Mud

Justice needs moderation
  Voices' dialed-down modulation

When the mob screams for blood
  The Rule of Law's dragged through the mud

It's Still Up

He took his Viagra for sure
and paid for an hour, no more
but after the fun
he dialed 911
the damn things been up there for four

His Phone Numbers

Dialing her unfaithful spouse’ numbers shows she ain’t one of the quitters,
But over the phone heard, “Sorry, the numbers you just dialed were letters”.

Daddy Tiger

In the jungle the daddy tiger promptly filed
A thought in his head, he had suddenly dialed.
Easier to attack animals who are mild
Made family a tastier week, home in the wild.

Boss Map Walt Marie

Sure as stars shined she stumbled.
Falling.

A fierce lightning rod flickering
wild sparks.

Put the appetite front and center.
Boss map.

Hard hands callused to the bone,
dialed in.

There’s nothing lucky about it.
She fought.

Random Path To Freedom - Minichu

Tired, exhausted, with headache
I left my cares, foibles and troubles far behind.
Took a break.

In car I jumped.
Dialed random for 'peace of mind'.
All pumped,

To go
Free Ill-defined,
Faux.

Tired, exhausted, with headache,
In car I jumped
To go.

Dial It Way Back- -

fresh and new I choose
dialed back veneer new view
dial it back when

the hands of times send
myself back into the grace
life in heaven space

live new in mom's womb
to beginnings before back
before now way back

Free Spirit

Hyperactive child
Furthest from mild
Behaviors often wild
Not meant to be exiled
Comedian keeps me beguiled
Little charmer as he smiled
Attention span not often locked in and dialed
Fiery spirit not meant to be filed
Hearts energy is fully compiled
With oodles of love for my sweet and sour wild child

Why Cell Phones Didn'T Catch On In Rome

WHY CELL PHONES DIDN’T CATCH ON IN ROME

Because if you dialed a number like  698 411 235  68
It was vi ix viii iv i i ii iii v vi viii

Or without spaces for text message economy
viixviiiiviiiiiiivviviii

Or what about 2233853651
iiiiiiiiiiviiiviiivivi

Who could remember this or even say it?
Small wonder the Roman Empire only lasted DCCXIII years

Who Called Who

Put on my headset and someone said “hi”
I had not dialed yet, that I knew of.
It was a friendly “hi”
Obviously someone I know.
Who are you? I asked.

She laughed.
Didn’t you call me?
Not intentionally I told her.
It was a friend I had not spoken to for a long time.
We had a lovely chat on the way to school today.
I love it when things like this happen.

Red Telephone Booth

An old gaunt lady
With feeble steps
Walked to the red telephone booth
On the roadside pavement
Every day she dialed a number
And spoke inaudibly into the receiver
As tears streamed down her crinkly face
This continued for an hour
Until she resigned for the day
Hoping for another heartfelt conversation
A baffling mystery unsettled us
Spectators to this daily drama.

A Noose Please

a noose please said the persnickety goose.
hop owner queried “a hanging dog noose?”
I will be hanging a hog, but please yes.
was this a murder? Did the goose just confess?

shop owner was a butt-insky from way back.
dialed 911..........they did not have a heart attack.
“People kill hogs all the time, sell goose the noose.”
By then goose had escaped the cage and was running loose.

Death of a Love Affair

they lost the gale-force wind
keeping their affair passionately aglow.
            it struggled for existence
   with the white-hot heat dialed down
 to low; like a candle's moribund flame,
     it flickered, and soon dimmed out.

A Less Than Tragic Love

It was years ago
a lonely year.
a more clunky and mechanical age,
a dial-up decade.

He sent out needy signals.
Eventually a divorced lady from
Doncaster responded.

Sensual seeds were planted.
E-mails were exchanged
together with photographs
taken years earlier.

One day, not long after
a mutual disappointment
fizzed between them
like a dying fly.

Together they dialed-out.

What a Waste

A thought that is right but not pursued;
A call that is dialed but unanswered;
A voice that is heard but silenced;
A word that is yearned but unspoken;
A problem that is there but unresolved;
A becon that is shining but unseen;
A love that is hard but unfought for;
A pain that you feel but can't soothe;
A heart that can love but restrained;
A life that could be but it won't;
What a waste! What a waste!

God Called Today

A True Story:

God called me yesterday.
I had lost my phone and was desperately looking for it.
I had an appointment I had to leave for.
I prayed to God to let me find the phone quickly because I had to leave,
if it was his will.
Just at that moment as my time was running out,
the phone started ringing under my couch.
It was a person who dialed my number by mistake!
A wrong number....

Thank you God

Multi-Task Joe

Multi-task Joe is in the know
With a Type A personality.
Brilliant of mind, he’s the kind
To do things simultaneously.

He does not fail to read e-mail,
With laptop devoted and humming.
His cell phone scowled as he dialed
With the freight train fiercely coming.

Eating a snack, he crossed the track,
While for details he was asking.
Now, his coffin doubles for folks with troubles,
Sitting on his casket basking.
In a way, he is still multi-tasking!
