Unique to each one
These atoms that do collide
In mind is where it resides

ESTRANGED
estranged
changed
suspended
where angels
fear to tread
imposing
deep thoughts
noises infringe
from the outside
detonating all
within

Blank verse
Oh this innocent tendency
of observing inner-thinking introverts
to quickly like
quiet looking loudly detonating hot-temperers
who they are a bit too though being
observing inner thinking introverts

They shoot at us with rubber bullets
cause they don't like the words painted on our signs,
"Stop Detonating Love Bombs
In the Middle East!".
But I suppose that will be all that's left
when everyone dies for this
enigmatic War for Peace.

An ice cold firework
Discharges in my heart
Detonating out shards of ice
To pierce the mind
Pricking my fingers
As the heat
Drains from me and
Like a welcoming fireplace
Warms the souls of the
Dead hearts I've dug up
From the graves of fireflies
That never saw it
Past summer

crimson blades lay lifeless
trembling-
drowning-
savored by the gold leaflets
that long for daybreak.
fire-orange blades rage-
detonating-
rupturing-
savored by the chartreuse leaflets
that thirst for rain.
Hues of combustion remain still-
twilight ascends and alleviates
with empathy...

When I’m driving or the lights go out
keeping pace with the dark I overthink;
Second winds of second guessing mount;
I can’t get my mind and calm to sync
so the two can exist in tandem;
Any rejuvenation’s squashed in a blink;
Make shift thoughts collide at random
detonating quiet with a chain reaction;
Here then gone I can’t control them;
Breathing in I move forward a fraction,
slowly but surely I start to gain traction.

Sore shoulders
Rough nightmares
In my sacred pillow
An unexpected message
From the past
Under a new name
I feel the hair on my neck tingle
I'm being watched
An autumn has passed
So much has been done
So much cannot be undone
I wake in fear
Exhale in relief
The weight has
Already been lifted
My hands aren't tied
To a detonating bomb
I rub my wrists
Free
But weirdly uncomfortable
To not have the
Handcuffs of lead
on my wrists anymore
