the flickered movement of fingers
detailing contours on canvas
a portrait advancing
into night's unhurried strokes--
moist cleavage gathers all tints
untamed by this artist's brush.
PENCILISTA Leonardo verrochia
graphite
glorified
silhouettes
in precise
elaboration
meticulous
detailing
of angles
cross hatched
conceptions
of
spatial cognito
sharing
stippled
tones
The Sun will rise
a high command,
God’s firm detailing --
Moon will carry-on
then night,
a borrower of light;
up-close we have
our planet near star
imagine worlds each
distant gleaming…
trillions of eyes
attempting to look-in
while our own eyes
far away dreaming
The heart sank
Into a tangible pose
Uptight and harbouring
The scantly ripened rose.
She spoke whispers
With lightly fragrant breath
Listening with vacant poise
The mind melts to hear.
Detailing sought emotions
Her words become robust
Writing onto lucid skin
A novel written with hands.
Crafting.
Molding.
Taking shape.
From ingredients.
Insignificant apart.
Parts of little value.
Made into something else
completely.
Working.
Sweating.
Detailing.
The art takes form.
Moving within my hands.
With control.
With a goal.
The mind moves.
Creativity flows.
The hands work.
Completing this work of art.
Only after 8 minutes.
The creation of art in my painting
Is created with each new vision
I stand and look at my painting
To see where I need to add more paint
With every stroke and every color
I can see my vision come alive
I blend and smooth on my paint
Detailing my work from start to finish
The joy it gives me every time
To look and see my masterpiece
how to be
while i am offer out of your tongue
spoken past
today no cast
mold in the dye
laughter and decaying denile
locked in a single soaring, owner
prevailing gumption
detailing winded engine
haunts of limber war
hauling the desert core
i seek and ask of neither bother
nor trolling auctioneers limbs
in a midst, a twist and astair
I read a book with sharp words
Piercing deep into the muscles of the heart
Unraveling life's secrets
Detailing beyond this realm
Narrating the past with caution
Illuminating what's within the breast
Putting doubt to rest
Separating truth from the grasp of falsehood
Then I recited the book
The eyes turned watery
The reasoning humbled
From the harmony that comes from within
A true source of solace
Balancing the call to fear and hope
"A bit of fragrance clings to the hand that gives flowers"
...Chinese Proverb
Told simply, in the special Chinese way,
Yet, its meaning not simplistic but bold
A message to follow within each day
of giving and the gift we will still hold.
Rather than volumes detailing each care,
with test results spilling off of each page,
a humble reminder that when we share
each heart will feel joy beyond any gauge.
