Premium Member Strutting His Stuff
Chance Rooster had greatest cockscomb around.
The deepest, coppery color, shiny and sound.
He strutted his stuff.
Put on lots of guff.
Turning off most hens for miles around....

Of Ancient Hugs and Vomits
Our marriage is laden.
Like dishes stuck in the sink for days.
Putrid.
Glazed with coppery laughter and leathery fights.
T I R E D,
I then made home
from the metaphors
of my head.

Premium Member Terracotta Ocher
Orangey burnt almond hues color the horizon as Sol's chariot arches by like a glowing sphere tinting crystalline snow and ice to a coppery terracotta ocher as it rises and sets. (Yalto) 03/17/2020 Gif 2 Your Best Anything Poetry Contest Sponsored by: William Kekaula Sample # 4

Whispers
On gossamer lips
Wisped coppery tendrils
Showering sparks
Riding evening breezes
That radiate off my
Eyelashes in papery
Wet slivers
Sticking only when
Your song of ill-boding
Is breathed over me
Its primitive amity
Contused and crusted
On baneful syllables
In sweet consummation
Where at last I see the
Crumbling bouquet
That’s falls
Onto your pages...

The Heart
The Heart
The moon calls to a blue heart
The trees bow to the ground and
Shadows dance in the night
A lonely heart cries for company

The sun rises, and the heart dances
in coppery fields
The daisies smell of love,
and the grass is sweet to running feet

The sky dims, and all can hear the night sounds
The Heart yearns for a hand to hold,
Another heart to love...

Premium Member Burnished Skies
Cloaking a Burnished Coppery Sky
the darkness fully ebony black
hides the blaze of silvery stars.
Not a single twinkle could be seen.

Then like a true goddess of light
she rode out of the darkest black
and her silvery beams conquered
sending packing that bleak dark.

Now released streaks of copper
heighted and high lit her beams.
Triumphant riding the starry night
the Moon shone out in Full Glory....

Mistress Merry
you gave me a penny all coppery bright
I spent it for apples,and ate them that night
  you gave me a puppy ,with long floppy ears
I lost it out hunting for christmas last year
  you gave me a cottage with windows and doors
I sold it for baubles an empress once wore
  you gave me a daughter,with long golden hair
she ran off to London,to visit the fair
   you gave me your heart and your soul and your life
I gave you a letter to give to your wife....

Scars
Scars
~~~~~
One for each slap administered by the guardian
Of my twisted childhoods end
Another for needing compassion, love and warmth
A deeper one for my open arms and desire to embrace
It's hard to tell, is it a blessing or a curse
That no one cares or can truly see how badly I'm hurt
The scars are all inside; it’s a battle without end
A coppery taste of the latest is still fresh in my mouth,
I wonder if the wounds are all that’s left of me....
laugh with me as i play in my blood
look at it shine, see it gleam
dropping slowly from my veins
dark, red it turns as it flows
splatter on the ground,
bright against my skin
soaking into my cloathes
see it mold to my finger tips
taste it's coppery sugar flavor
smell the metallic air
is it sweet? does it care?
cold in my vains it runs
pulsing, dying, drying
staining all it touches
do my eyes glitter now?
can you see my happiness,
now that i'm so alive...
Thunderstruck
I had no idea it was love I was falling in,
But through the freefall I saw his eyes,
And from the eye of the hurricane we stood within,
He saw through my every disguise.
He bent my will and lit up my sky;
His thunder silenced my fear.
Coppery clouds have me wondering why
His violent storm makes my eyes see so clear.
Broke me and fixed me, he promised to carry
My burdens tattooed on his veins;
He was the thunderstorm in the valley
And I was the girl who smelled like rain....
Jim Goes To Gym
I took a long look at him:
Body of user of Gym
Wants muscles, not to seen trim;
His Agnes might remain The Slim!
There a Tim trains, so does Kim;
Then, why can't he Mister Jim?
Yeah! About time Jim went to Gym
Or Gym does reverse for Jim.
While training follows his whim:
No Rock Music: sings God's Hymn,
Glass of juice filled to the brim,
Eyeglass with Coppery rim...
But Jim for Gold not Copper
His choice of bike A Chopper...
"Tomorrow, another Gym
Remember that Jim."...
