The Architect

The architect plans, designs
and finally constructs,
Suitable spaces for humans,
In work that he conducts.

Dedicated in his duties,
Owning precedence.
Fit to be an important key-
Of such intelligence.

Covert Cathedral

Your mental window’s fashioned from
Panes of glinting bright stained glass,
And through them streaming sun rays come.
Your mind conducts its private Mass.
Soft hymns and Sacramental rite,
Holy water at the secret fount.
Communion hidden out of sight.
Inside your heart, an Olive Mount.

Heaven Conducts

Expressions
of spirit
the music
plays on

Beyond any
verbiage
or words
come and gone

At high
elevations
each note
takes you up

To reach
into heaven
where feelings
conduct

As harp
strumming Angels
with harmony
strong

Play chords
of acceptance
to guide
— you along

Apple Orchard Fall

It is almost too cold now
To be in the tops of trees
Shivering in snagged mittens
A woolen over coated ornament
Like black spotted fruit
Gone from sweet to bitter
Whipped by Autumns whining
Amidst garrulous planning birds
Fall conducts her noisy birth
So you whisper “Good Night”,
Your lips pressed against the bark
For that is where the heart is

Premium Member Word Impression Poem 3: Apricity

The air carries winter's bite
To the ear, the nose and fingers
- But the day is full of light,
A golden shine that falls and lingers
Upon the warf and woof of everything.

The apricity all 'round is why the birds yet sing
Upon their icy perches.
A ghostly touch of warmth lies all about
As the heart conducts its silent searches
Through the deeps of cold and doubt.

Impromptu

haiku in azul
blues playing passionately
sadly i'm watching

hearing her movements
my baton conducts her song
silently dancing

words forming absurd
surreal reality speaks
morris code feet dance

dash dash dash dash dot dot
dash dot dot dot dot dot dash dash
but one leads to two

peacefully she sleeps
tomorrow i will ask her
would you like to dance

Calling Us Home

With only twelve keys
the music commands
Some white and some black
their harmony grand

Scoring the melody
eternal and free
Whether Quincy or Frank,
Prince, Peggy, or me

Heaven the audience
 Angels out front
Truth for a drummer
Sandalphon conducts

All time in abeyance
the chorus in song
Both gates swinging open
—the silence is gone

Premium Member A Lovers' Heartbeat Anacreontic Verse

Timeless lyrical,
compassionate dance,
a shifting effect
of light and color,
the glowing full moon
conducts in folk tune.
Indispensable
distant humble stars
spring a russet, sign.
White unfolded wings
flitter wayward round
a rhythmic beating
in shadow, chill, air.
The spike tuft ears owl
melodies hooting,
influence passion.
A lovers' heartbeat
keeping steady rhythm.
A starlight guides the
way by windswept night.

Premium Member Starlight

Starlight slowly filling the sky.
Dark light as the moon sits on high.

Stillness as the dark plays with our minds.
Cool breeze invisible to our eyes.

Sounds carrying through the air.
Headlights appear here and there.

Streetlight cones over the road.
Shadows don’t know where to go.

Starlight watches over us as we dream.
Moonlight conducts the orchestra of the oceans and seas.

Sleep tight, our minds need to relax as we breathe.

We love to type and classify
we find it hard to wonder why,
the quirky and eccentric mind
off mainstreet,much enjoyment finds;
We seek and seek the poet's voice,
in verse and poesy of our choice,
Yes this is him,no that is her
we guess,but can never be sure;
Perhaps occasion,the voice makes,
identity has many takes,
maybe posterity's critique
will provide,the answer we ssek.

Inspiration,in many a disguise
conducts us on its journey,of surprise.

Poetic Limbo

When I think of love
  Its always her
About how it felt, and when it occurred.
Amore is now my poetic limbo
With booming drums then crashing cymbals.
       An orchestration
    Of rhythm and rhymes
Which has no bridge during frustrating times.

This continuous movement weakens my knees
And forever conducts each yearning need.

           Truly a soul
       Can't help but rock
When his mind's just a beacon
         For lusty thoughts.

Dirty Mind

The Dirty Mind

of the young
who let the dirt dominate their mind
negativeness to rule their heart
dirt
leads to death
when one fails to subdue
by positivity
of either thoughts
or
desire
that helps one to live a pure life
a spotless life
against all dirt and potholes
that
lead one astray
from positiveness away
dirty way
immoral acts
bad habits
unbecoming behaviour
unaccepted conducts
caused by such a dirty-terrible mind.
