Premium Member renegade honeysuckle trees

Honeysuckles commandeered my yard
Ten in a row, watching this old bard
They grow renegade, their roots are super deep.
Providing shade for my red ninety-eight Jeep.

The Fearless Farmer Cork

limerick

Have you heard why the farmer named Cork
commandeered a short freight train in York?
     When the hoboes from thar
     dared reclaim their hay car,
they discovered the pitch of Cork’s fork.

Premium Member She Commandeered the Room

She commandeered the room
An amazing display of woman power
We stood back, watching
In awe that one woman could do this

Who is she? Someone whispered
She was unknown to us,
and yet we recognized her abilities
and we were amazed

Premium Member Stay Weird

When did being weird
become politically incorrect?

When were old rules disappeared,
and new ones appear unchecked?

I will not be commandeered
into a social engineering project!

I will dance with being weird,
and the devil take your circumspect!

cool calico cat could come and coddle cuddle cautioned Cali’s cousin
Carmen. Campy Cameron coughed curiously, considering this caution
comical. Calico cat commandeered the cabin and café, a considerable
conquest, considering the coolness of Cali, Carmen and Cameron.

Premium Member Elf Owl Has Great Friends

Elf Owl settled in woodpecker’s hole.
Was chased away by an angry mole.
Was taken in by Pretty Mare’s foal.
Colt set Elf Owl up in a nice blue bowl.

Bully mole commandeered bowl, mean was his goal.
Chased away by Pretty Mare and her foal.
Elf Owl went back to woodpecker’s hole.
Sent a lovely note to Pretty Mare and her foal.

Premium Member Sailing By Like Fresh Whipped Cream

Rowed my skiff 'long a gentle stream
Afternoon sailed by like fresh whipped cream

When of a sudden, the sky did gleam
with myriad stars, nighttime's regime ...

As I took in this scene, I found myself
riding a pounding ocean's foaming surf

My peaceful stream naught but an estuary
My oars commandeered by a playful faerie

Premium Member Sensual Steampunk Sally

Sensual Steampunk Sally
Metals clanging as she walked
Slight peek of white eyelet lace

Black thigh high stockings
Matched her confident swagger
And self-satisfied look

We pirates watched in admiration
As she commandeered our ship
Stealing our breath and making us go weak

Who is she? Someone asked me
I dared not think of her at all
Afraid I would melt

Premium Member Wasps Five Me Zero

Skinny miniature dive bombers commandeered my porch today.
Their command center is in the hollows of my porch’s railings.
I watch them wasp-stepping in formation
around on a tiny wooden table that holds two cans of wasp spray.
Now they are parading around the side of one of the green spray cans.
Taunting me with their arrogance.
Between the front door and me.
Wasps five. Me zero.

Lust Mania

Let me hold you commandeered in wet armor,
Slippery passion, delights you in leisure
Tortured and taken to the hilt the treasure;
Hot showers to burn you in divine pleasure:

Tasted I will not deprive you the raptures,
Helpless charge forcing you in snug captures,
Imaginative new joy with temptation;
Fascination all the way in seduction:

Taken you yield with adult profanity;
 Enchanting each moment to insanity?

Premium Member I Am the Entertainment

she wore a diamond headpiece, which made her eyes look azure.
Her self-assured smile walked ahead of her dangling earrings.
Like a prism, she commandeered the entire speakeasy.
We men had heard of her, but none of us knew she was real.

One dapper gentleman stood up to ask her to dance.
She laughed; I am the entertainment, she told him.
Sit and watch. Her act was beyond exciting.
That was forty years ago, and I still remember her.
