    each one gives me a scare

    ~ What might have been if I'd headed west...

she does not show us her cards
keeping them close to her vest

she lures us in
a sense of peace
starting out calm and breezy

She picks up speed
the trees are swaying
I wonder, but she calms it down again, showing nothing

during the next lull
I hear a freight train, except louder
knowing it is her, I head toward the basement...
