Wandering into
Mist-shrouded, cavernous rooms.
Gliding past ghostly
Mirrors. Choking on Pages
Of a Faded Existence.
Blue Collar—White Collar,
choking the same
Their difference endemic,
as time casts its blame
(Dreamsleep: May, 2020)

life hands out marbles
I swallow mine on purpose
clogging my body
loudly choking and screaming
blaming everyone else now
Snared by the moment
Details turn into stories
Choking petty minds
Liberated when they find
Stars are the true scale of life
Anguish paints the mask.
Choking on dysphoria
begrimes a collapsed heart.
Hypothermia sets in
when squeezing the color blue.
Glitter, Glitter Yellow Gold
coruscating yellow gold;
all the choking splendour
emerging from mere bog!

I choke in my dreams
I’m struggling so it seams
A conflict with me and the inner me
Unblock this plague and let my words free
2000
The dance of dances as he swung:
his twitching legs a rhythmic fight,
as choking, gasping, praying hard,
he danced into eternal night.
up close a face, death
a strangler, choking my breath,
here you are, my wife says,
time's up, your crime pays,
in the grave, she stays.
Laying bleeding my insanity
Choking in a pool of my vanity
Blinded by my pride and couldn't see
Cracking the mirror doesn't change reality
the chains that are bound
choking on each other's ignorance
fall short of the key
linked in division and plight
unable to stand as one
It’s not what you put on
but what you take off
Each trapping a hangman
—and choking its cost
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2019)
struggling to breathe
the choking hold on my chest
your hard words like bricks
bury me deeper
bearing the weight of your love
until I’m breath less
Only a few succeed
Countless fail
Choking on bills
Dreams that don’t sail
Foreclosure of fortune
Liquidated entrails
Empty homes
Lives for sale
Strangling ribbon
Choking ancient sleeping elm
Revenge of the vine

Small, crunchy, n` creamy.
Father X-mas between the two
Salty, tasty, n` nutty.
Arom` ! Arrostato !
Swelling `n choking,
`n dying,
and.. . dead.
Merciless.
I am suffocating
I can't breathe
I am choking
I can't see
I can't move
I am scared
Is this real
Is this a dream
I cant scream
Someone wake me up
Rain
cheery, amenable
cooling, soaking, quenching
gardens, crops, thistles, weeds
growing, choking, drying
leachy, noxious

Death.
Dark, longing.
Crying, sufficating, screaming.
Grasping hands tight on ones throat.
Clawing, choking, bleeding.
Blank, heartless.
Gone.

Humphry Dumphry sat in the hall
Eating a hamburger and things that crawl
A silly old kook
Wearing a tuque
Wee Humphry choking on a dirty big hairball

MODERN HAIKU
nature looming in dark
choking ice dust heaven earth
worlds cauterized black
trees barren childless
dead before time erased time
burnt blood dehydrated
Entangled
Can’t feel my heart
With your firm grasp
Choking the life
From my essence
Yet
It’d gladly stop beating
Within your clutch
Seize my soul
For one more lifetime

The crackling flames that scorched her flesh
and choking, blinding clouds of smoke
were not enough to sway her faith
as, bound, she died upon the coke.
