Spring Dancing In the Rain
Spring dances and
does cartwheels
in the rain with such joy.
Her daffodils dazzle,
faces upturned to catch
this nectar of nature.

Light Verse
Time
The wind
always gets things moving.
The flattened Marlboro
cigarette package
cartwheels
across the street
before the light
changes.
But don't we all?...

Happy Day
Soup's up, oh YAY!
And hip-hip HOORAY!
Cartwheels and back flips and ole´, OLE´!
So much to say,
Write away, write away.
Farewell to the grey
Is a beautimous DAY!...

Walnuts
Walnuts are good for the brain;
and they help to keep us sane!
Eat them much,like in-between meals;
and you will want to do extra cartwheels!

Lunch Time
Sparks leap tall buildings
and butterflies drool.
Nuns speak in cartwheels
Puritans jig like fools.
Heady verbosity
intoxicates
when hopeless romantic
meets existential basket-case....

Philip the Inchworm
Philip is an inchworm, he has neither legs nor feet,
He also has no arms or hands like others on his street.
Phil can't do cartwheels, jump or clap, and rugby's not his forte,
But he's colored like a rainbow, so, who cares if he's not sporty?...

Home
Bring pheasants bring cartwheels
Bring dark hallowed halls
Bring the quiet whisper
Whom no one thought to call
Bring a lamp
A can
A crucifix
Someone to lean against
Bring my mother
My son
In the dark and disorder
I won't go on alone
Without a home....

Full of Courage
Cartwheels across our floor
her artwork covers our fridge
Naps like an angel, cries like the devil
explores the world, full of courage
Can I go to school with my friends
she asks, her eyes two blue saucers
You'd like that, wouldn't you, I shudder
~ to stifle your growth, I mutter...

Man on the Moon
Your presents are ready
They're under the tree
Big ones and small ones
For Bluebird from me
Please buy me nothing
You're all that I want
Your love is a diamond
But one I can't flaunt
It's not the right time
To do cartwheels and such
But inside I'm doing them
Often and much
The thought you could love me
Makes my heart swoon
The thought you could love me
Sends this man to the moon...

The Path
Morning light,lightly
Playing upon the leaves
Hiding,peaking,hiding as it
Cartwheels over trees
" I'm so happy to see you" !
A gift,a joy, a reprieve
From the darkest contemplation
Your appearance a relief
I awaken to this new day
My Father had allowed
As this light announcing its arrival
Let our spirits not be cowed
Embrace the day, give it your best
As a gift in return to God
With love,and peace,and thankfulness
Our feet on the path be shod...

It's a Wonderful Life
Somewhere in the distance
rings a silver bell,
far away, yet strangely near,
a festive carousel.
Turning cartwheels in my mind,
playing music to my ears,
throwing rainbow-coloured stardust
in a cloud of snowdrop tears.
The sweetest choir breathes a sigh,
in perfect tune it sings,
the bells chime out a melody,
an angel gets her wings.
And I can only bow and smile
and pray it will not end;
for it's truly a wonderful life
with an angel for a friend....

Green Eyed Witch
Green eyed witch in Christmas colors, with a whimsical smile.
My idea takes off and runs forward, skipping, dancing, doing cartwheels.
As usual.
I give the witch two familiars, for one did not seem like enough for that face.
The canvas still looks barren, so I throw in a moon, stars, a broom, houses.
Busier now, which makes me happy.
I become even more joyful as I add color. Painting is my favorite thing to do.
Hot pink shoes! The witch directs me.
I do not see why not....
