Premium Member old gold cigarette girl
She comes across the screen dancing her boots off.
Kicking and carousing, showing us her sexy legs.
She is the Old Gold Cigarette Girl of course!
Men were men back in the sixties,
But women were “girls” – it put them on their children’s level
Because men could not take the vote back....

Premium Member If He Was Provost of a Prison
If he was the provost of a prison
He would open all of the cells
Let the prisoners decide among themselves
Who would live and who would die
They would dance into the yard
Laughing and carousing
Except for the small ones
Survival of the fittest
So aren’t you glad
he is not the provost of a prison?...

   In America, Passover’s a marathon
     in Israel, it’s a sprint
Two nights @ four cups of wine in the USA
One night, four cups, in the Holy Land, recover in a day

   All that anticipation in Israel
one measly night, the bubble bursts
In the Diaspora, two long nights of carousing
~ though some would say we’re cursed

October Bliss
October Bliss
In the mood for autumnal cavorting and carousing, dripping with morning dew drops and blowing moist kisses at rainbows, golden leaves flit about wind-swept paths searching for dancing partners.

Sketch
A dime of orbed light
Hangs in water from a limb
Winter cries for spring

She has grown white haired
And soft, melting in the sun
Love uproots our fear.

The wind chisels flesh
My canvas shivers with light
Stars have twinkling eyes.

Change is a new bud
Carousing on a warm sprig
Tongues panting to paint

The sky cloudless, soft
As flakes in the arms of leaves
Brown on barren ground....

Culmination
Never so sweet - as the rosebud's feat
to capture the bloom of the rose
ensconced within - it's petals thin
to break forth with color intense
lips pursing up - shining with dew
carousing the sun for it's heat
sensuous wiggles - the flower entails
seducing it's nutrient's meat
radiant rays - soft petals caressed
it's fertilization bestows
the velvety blood red kiss - of -
the passion embraced by the rose...

Premium Member Jesus Teaching: Becoming Vigilant
Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing
And drunkenness
And the anxieties of daily life

And that day catch you by surprise like a trap
For that day (of Jesus' Coming) will assault everyone who lives on the Face of the earth

Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength

To escape the tribulations that are imminent
And to stand before the Son of Man [Taken from LK 21:34-36]...

In My Quilting Class
My stitches aren’t even;
My squares don’t line up straight
And if you want a quilt from me,
It’s years you’ll have to wait.

Yet every Thursday, there I sit,
My needle pulling thread,
With not a thought beyond that room
Carousing in my head.

I’m calm, relaxed and in control
And while my scissors snip,
I bask in camaraderie
And crafting fellowship.

My projects hang around the house
And in my grandkids’ rooms,
But it is in my quilting class
Where my composure blooms....

The Mourning Bird
I know why the caged bird sings
The bird is not signing but crying
For the daily loss of its parents.

Birds are asked to leave the nest for their survival at an early age.

Mother nor Father are not there to educate their off- spring through 18 years of life while it roost at home.

No birthday parties
No date nights
No porch light letf on until a wild night of carousing.

The caged birds cries when he was abandoned and rejected and forced to leave the safety of the home....
