They soon will behold
While napkins can fold
Budgets are not origami...

Premium Member Checks and Balances
A system of checks and balances
  Is the fulcrum of democracy

Governments write many checks
  But their budgets never balance

   ~ So how about plutocracy...

The Servants
Who runs Oz? The task,
A public servant you must ask!
PS clerk run our land,
Admirably, it's quite grand,
As they will tell you, tee hee,
They run budgets efficiently,
Managing Oz quite capably,
Pollies come and pollies go,
PS clerks are keeping on, lo!...

In Gods We Trust
Welcome, unto the fallout and collateral damage
Is everywhere you turn but no ones going to admit it
Nor shall they take the blame actually; their rat race carries on ?
Chasing down this piece of abominations pink cheese; pornography, bigamy....
Legislation, science, sin sacrifice balancing budgets sub rosa's, consumed as green....

Wonder if they know…
Just how hard my family works

“Furlough Days” as they like to call it
A cut in pay as we like to call it…..

Here nor there, there are lots of little quirks…..

Now the budgets in trouble again, let’s make them pay

And pay

And pay again!

No more furloughs they said
(As cheers roar through the crowd) “Whhoohoo”
We will just make them pay for their PEBB…..
That’s what we dread...

When Darkness Steals Her Light
Babies freezing to death in Syria
Being chopped to bits in Africa
Beheaded in Mexico
Shot through their tiny hearts in America
Starving all around this world
So what is it that you want to write about: What
Is it exactly ? Houses passing budgets; more bullets
Less food more war machines less treatment more
Neglect ? Smile for their camera walk down, a red ramp...
Snapshots and poppi; hurry, there she goes ? Yes, there she goes....

Two Bits Short of a Quarter
Ain't got no money problems...
Ain't got no bills to pay
Ain't got no budgets to follow...
Bill collectors can go on their way...

Mail is used to start the fireplace...
Which I do not own...
And I sold my wallet for two bits
To someone on the phone

Which is odd, I guess,
Cause service long cut off
And my wallet made of loose-leaf
So it's very, very soft

Did I take my psych meds?
Did I take my pill?
Cause they say, if not...
I'll become really mentally ill....

Premium Member Have You Seen a Dancing Banana
Have you seen a dancing banana?
It had not been the best day at work.
I gave the speaker a grumpy face.
Shook my head “no”, hoped he would disappear.

He was a new worker, no name tag yet.
“What are you working on?” He asked me.
“Budgets and stuff,” I said, without looking up.
He left me alone, and I was glad.

“HEY!” a voice yelled.
I looked up.
There was a dancing banana on the top shelf of my bookcase.
“Glad we got rid of him,” he said, doing a little two-step....

After Christmas Sigh
All gift's delivered

Some few still under the tree,

Voices filled with thanks!

Children jumping with glee...

Now we sit and sigh

Making plans for the 4th of July,

And Valentine's day

Easter,

and so many more

In celebration of something,

Another Birthday for someone we adore...

There is money to be spent,

In spite of the economy

We rework our budgets wishing we were worry free.

Ah, but someone was happy today

twas Christmas, 'twas Christmas,...
