Have You Seen a Dancing Banana

Have you seen a dancing banana?
It had not been the best day at work.
I gave the speaker a grumpy face.
Shook my head “no”, hoped he would disappear.

He was a new worker, no name tag yet.
“What are you working on?” He asked me.
“Budgets and stuff,” I said, without looking up.
He left me alone, and I was glad.

“HEY!” a voice yelled.
I looked up.
There was a dancing banana on the top shelf of my bookcase.
“Glad we got rid of him,” he said, doing a little two-step.
