Charles Holley aka Buddy Holly
had a rock'n roll music style by golly

still the best to jive& sway
once an odd fellow named lee
liked to converse with a bee
but once in a store
it caused an uproar
sitting to chat on his knee.
One Saturday in a fest
I met an old buddy in a vest
Who was mighty grateful to bond
At the side of an old pond
And tell stories of the wild west
Buddy brings in a stegosaurus bone
My husband and I both yelp and groan
Chewing so hard now, there is a bit of foam
While my husband chews, I write this poem
She came home with her shoes so muddy
Her excuse was she went to study,
'T was the fourth time that week
Ma decided to peek,
Caught pants-down with her study buddy.
Bible Study Buddy
When the Bible we will start to study;
Always best when you have a buddy;
Help then assist;
And we do insist;
Not being with one can be cruddy.

B is for bakawas type people like you,
E is for everything that you are,
G is four Glory Holes in the casket,
Now you have B,E,G,Beg you beggar.
My tongue yearns to taste your Juice.
Little black drummer
Hiding in the corner,
Playing his little drum
All the night long.
It's sounding kind of hazy;
I think I am going crazy
From listening to the rhythm
Of his little drum song.
Form:
Treat me with love
And treat me with care
I'll stay by your side
I'll go anywhere.
Pat my head
When I've been good
And I will protect you
Like I should.
Feed me and walk me
And play with me too
I'll be your friend
Reliable and true.
There goes my buddy, out the door.
I did not see her all day
and it did not cause any downpour.
As she leaves,
she nods and smiles from the distance,
sincere and sure, and somehow
that moment
makes her my buddy, even more.

Truely, my canines, are so great,
mine put me in a paniced state,
training them can be quite hard,
discipline, you can't disregard,
my two, rotty and rodesian,
to the eye, very pleasing,
demanding lots of time,
but I'm sure glad their mine.
Form:
I brushed my dog Buddy in the driveway today.
It looks like someone discarded a feathered mattress
He has as much fluffy stiff fur as any sheep I have met
the robins will be fighting over it for their nests
which is why I did it there instead of in the house
We may choose our friends
even pick our pals
tho' it won't make no never mind
if they're guys or gals
but just to get it off my chest
while keeping you abreast
and not go bust or waters muddy
for me Dolly Parton would have been
my best bosom buddy
That day, it was a fun day,
I waved at my buddy.
From far away, over the greens
and the tracks,
she waved back at me too.
But the rest of the day
she ignored me, and so ignored me
all the way !
And that got me to go deep
under the deepest of the blue.

This year and last
you make me feel wanted
You make sure
I'm not left behind
It's a new feeling
that I'll hold on to
And I do care
that's why I was there
I just wish that you'd talk to me now
about anything
I don't want you to leave
and have summer go by
and you disappear
Little Buddy, Chick Daddy
Little buddy could cluck like a hen.
So, young biddies went running to him.
He would lift up his wings.
Come for warmth, he would sing.
Quickly chicks chirped, “Let chick-sitting begin!”

My Buddy
My Buddy
That’s what I call him
A term of affection
Best of friends
My Buddy
We’re inseparable
Joined at the hip
Two peas in a pod
My Buddy
Playmate for life
Affectionately secure
Intertwined at the heart
My Buddy
Each other’s world
Two of a kind
Father and son
Buddy was angry with Daddy yesterday.
He tore up two couch cushions and a duck along the way.
A couple of books, rug, magazine, and mattress – air.
He wanted Daddy home – in his favorite chair.
The yard is a wreck; the porch a disaster zone.
We are still enthralled and entranced. Buddy is home.
My dog chews through cars
And houses and ditches
My dog chews through underwear
Spitting out delicate stitches
My dog chews through anything moldy or kosher
My dog Buddy chews like the blades of a dozer
We love him no matter that he just ate the house
At least it got rid of the cat and a mouse
Buddy Cianci! He’s
the people’s mayor!
“That shark! Haha!
Reminds me of my opponents over the years!”
He dances with the old folks!
He kisses the pig!
He poses with the married couple!
He lets no crack appear in his façade
even on the day his lover of nine years
is married in Barbados!
He is impregnable!
dreaming friend
like the chancing days of wind
if i could draw his breath
so sad to watch my friend
growing older
growing colder
don't forget your feelings
spare a thought for me
i am not a startled stranger
something more than typewriters are needed
to record the personal touch
introspection is not an option
You're not so cute anymore
Still I hold on to you
I can't throw and old friend away
Many hours spent
Close to my heart
We were together
Every night and day
My best friend
A true confidant
Talking with you
Made me feel okay
My Teddy Bear friend
A true lasting gift

Who came my way

Form:
I took a walk with my buddy the crab,
The sky was dark and rather drab,
He was looking for a fresh fish to eat,
And I was trying to escape the heat.
As we walked I realized,
A crab in a pot is a great prize,
I took a walk with my buddy the crab,
The sky was dark and rather drab,
I was fixing a fresh crab to eat,
And he was trying to escape the heat.
He sought all the mystery
As well as the blistery
With some of the grim
And the not-so-prim
In the city's ironic history
A story he would perceive
Seldom easy to believe
But always would back up
What came from the Cup
Of Cornucopia he would weave
He would oft-times humor
An unconfirmed rumor
Then blow it away
When he would say
A quip of his humor
