Golden Glory

A golden leaf, silently falling
Returning to earth that created it earlier
Gently... slowly... breezily 'tis transported
Landing humbly on its side, bowing, submitting
Its end has arrived, it demurely relinquishes

Grasshopper and Ants

Grasshopper and the ants were having a laid-back day
They did what they wanted, snoozing and snoring away
The meadow was breezily uplifting, sharing her grasses.
I like being here with my friends, the lads and the lasses.

When did you last have a mammogram

my nurse practitioner gives me a stern “mom” look.
When was the last time you had a mammogram?
I think I had one last week, I say breezily.

Really? She looks surprised.
What kind of a doctor is she?
She can’t tell that I am kidding?

Bibble the Blue Footed Booby Battles Brothers Bestie

Bibble, the Blue Footed Booby believes bubbles are beautiful.
Babs B. Brown, his brother’s best bestie bashes his belief to bits.
Bibble blusters and babbles, breezily blowing bright blue bubbles.
Bibble’s Booby brother, Billy barely arrives before a battle begins.

Winter Springs Brown Dead Leaves On the Trees--

MEANINGFUL TO -the Haiku -- as the nature/spring before dead brown breezily… the leaves in spite of winter now soon spring so dead before are the grounds… betrayed by the leaves Oh the winter/spring before dead brown breezily… in spite of the leaves

When Two Minds Click

When two minds click, it's ecstasy
Creative flames leap to and fro
Ideas flow so easily
When two minds click, it's ecstasy
New theories proffered breezily
Abstract musings yield seeds to sow
When two minds click it's ecstasy
Creative flames leap to and fro

Spring Invites me to Play

Dandelions are breezily blowing
Perky dots on lilies seem to be saying hi
Spring needs her own adjectives for her feeling
Refreshed, rejuvenated, regenerated, regrown
These are but a start of the emotions of April
None of the other months encourage me to dance
Spring invites me to sing, spin, skip, twirl and twist.
She takes me back to age six and lets me play

Midnight Mischief

Merrily
fairies tease lyrical tunes
arranged almost airily

Breezily
frolic with wild woodland sprites
dancing through branches of trees

Kisses pressed
with great delight on the ears
of squirrels sleeping in nests

Finally
as the sun rises, they slip
under leaves, sleep peacefully

Stardust I'M Seeing

Trees breezily sway
to a tropical tune we hear playing.
You grin as you twirl me
with what seems like wizardry!
Under the big golden moon,
I look to the sky.
But where are the stars
on this night so enchanting?
Are they hiding?
Then I look into your eyes,
and . . . stardust I’m seeing.

Writer's Block

I have had this fear.
It started as a rattle.
I would rather not self-diagnose-
worry my afro kinks straight.
I let it pass breezily.

In my room of metaphors
I closed the door, shut
out the attitudes of reality:
Bold, beautiful, young, and restless.
I wasn't mindful of her,

She and you, or us.
Our contact disassembling, just contract...
tempers like daggers over lactose.
"I'm unavailable!?" because you were
penning soliloquies for the stage.

Birds In Flight Edited

As black as my birdlover poet's
pen ink hue in hue
A rook and a raven flew flew
flew
when the wind it breezily blew
blew blew
and blustery became the view
view view

An albatross then gracefully
took to the air
and for hours it seemed to
linger there
O' birds of flight your secrets
tell
and if you know which of us
had end up in heaven or hell?
For isn't all is well that ends
well?
Lets pray there ain't hell's murk
but Eden's light
at the end of the tunnel!

What the Wind Said

Relaxing near my pool, I heard
a whisper in my ear.
I felt the warmth of a crystal
gleaming tear.
The wind whispered ever so
softly and breezily:

"It's perfectly acceptable,
Panagiota, to be fully thee!"

"To follow the crowd, is
totally, not your balance"

"State your truth, with panache
and elegance!"

Thus, I resigned from chasing
approval and popularity.
The true glory was for me, simply
being totally me..
In every segment of my poetry.
