I Heard a Story Bout a Man Named Jesus

I HEARD A STORY
BOUT A MAN NAMED JESUS
HE CAME FROM GLORY
TO SAVE US ALL
HIS WORDS INSPIRE
THEY CAUSE US TO WONDER
A MAN FROM GLORY
I LOVE THE SOUND

Seems a programmer wrote him some code
and then told it, Produce me an ode!
His efforts, mispent
for to his lament,
all its praises were to his commode!

Crazy 'Bout You

Your song, your laugh
they're music to my ears
high pitched, not in tune
but i just love to hear it

your jokes aren't funny
but i laugh anyway
i don't know, i can't tell
'think i'm under your spell

WARTIME OF PEACE

Peaceful battles fought
With no enemy aside,
Friends you trust never.

Wartime of peace
Moments of joyous sorrow:
Jolt of the mire.

A race for life,
A ring with no boxers,
Bout of no sense.

Wartime of peace
Is a seasonal murder:-
No foes in sight.

Round-a-bout

Bicycles go around, then a car.
A red car with yellow and white lights.

Yellow streaks, oh actually,
They are quite like an alveolus.

What fun looking at a single speck of
The city or village or town!

Friends of leaves skip around
And race their fellow buddies,

While another white car sweeps the
Concrete day-dreaming in the winter sun.

Premium Member All Bout Love

Speaking of Love
While at the high school meeting
I was talking amongst friends.
When my friend asked me about
  My wife…..
He asked me if she was still committed.
Then, I answered……
I said yes,
She was committed twice..

Somethin' 'Bout Us Colored Folks

This jive
You call
Jazz, well, my
Mama use to say,
It sounds more
Like pots
And pans
Just ripping and
Damn running down
These streets
Boy, you better
Learn how to read
This music and tell
People somethin’ ‘bout us colored folks
Cleo, dat Banjo and dem bongo drums
Come straight out of mother Africa
We like to improvise and harmonize that
Funky off rhythm beat

Premium Member Babbling 'Bout Bubbles

Coloured and in cascades, there's foam on the falls,
Elliptical dome shaped..almost perfect circles are recalled
Haven of childhood and sanctuary gained, ephemeral beauty
its existance proclaims, against backdrops on dewdrops in
rain on the leaves, bubbles are forming in torrents and streams
in my bathtub they a'wait me..under billows of steam..!

Cheating To Be Champ

Eyes of stark stiff doubt
Of The Win to clinch
After his Third Bout
No victorious inch
His rival quite out
To him reach and pinch!

Lips free with a pout
From pains of a gout:
A loss to a lout
Would Happiness rout …

What rules now to flout
For he can’t be out?
This idiot to rout!

Cheating for ‘A Lamp’
To see to being Champ
Not this Guy from Swamp
With Armpits The Damp.
Form: Rhyme

Round-A-Bout

Fortuitous
having hands to hold
onto memories,
yet no mouth to speak of them

Blind
to mistakes repeated,
yet showering the world
in tainted images

Even the mirror
holds onto half-smile secrets
(jealously)
Each a photo-copy,
fading to motes in twinkling eyes

Sitting astride Mobius circle
always thinking,
finality is a bend away

and yet,

I always
finish where I
began.

Premium Member Dreamt Bout Mama- -

I had a dream about Mama today ;
The smell of her like Jerkins lotion;
I remembered  every word she said in all ways;

Dreamt bout  mama

Her voice like a Sunday school devotion;
Her red Auburn hair
Her visage no longer a blur;
 of this I was truly sure;
 God granted me this View cause He cares;
