Premium Member Kindergarten Reunion
fast excited talking
loud happy gigging
boisterously joyful

they cannot keep their little bodies still
or their hands off of each other
kindergarten students

the first day they return to school
after a pandemic
and three months of sheltering in place...

A Soaring Day
This day soars, refreshingly
Floating in umber modesty
Mewling boisterously, in jollity
While, harvest colors blink
Tragically in shades of pink
Afternoon progresses in happiness
From there on, the evening moon
Shines in bright, yellow incandesce
As nightfall settles over sky festoon...

Premium Member Oxymoron Advice
Oxymorons are cynical and fun.
Be careful though if you want to use one.
If it is familiar, it may sound quite trite.
Which murders your poem with a harsh bite.

Deafening silence is way overdone.
Boisterously shy is a good one though, hon
Brilliant idiot may be available in a tweet.
But avoid cliques like bittersweet....

Premium Member He Brushed
He brushed against her red hair
Then moved on from there
To the girl with the golden curls
While tears flowed upon the ground

Red hair laced between the tears
Soon he tired of the gold
And sought out brown
What a lovely crown

Then boisterously he blew on threw
Now none wears a crown
He is left with nothing to entertain
Only snow and ice remain...

Premium Member Just Sayin'
I'm stayin' up too late again
but wanna say this to you, my friends:
Your presence to me has more value
than champagne soaked diamonds coated with all the tea in China
pixie dusted to oblivion's paradise paradoxically coated with
olive oil and sweat pheroming gruntingly
grudgingly
boisterously beautifully
to somewhere.

Thank you. Very much....

The Women I Know
The women I know are very strong
The woman I know carry burdens beyond grasp
I see only reflections of their sorrow, or their strength and of their being
They teach the world lessons quietly and sometimes boisterously
Unbearable love for their kin
Unending endurance to work for their loves
Understanding, forgiving, disciplinary and resolute
The women I know are beings of lights

Awkward Society
A wisp of thought
sails across the crowded room
gliding from person to person
bobbing on breaths
of smoky conversation

The bouncing balloon
hovers at my table
I snatch with greasy fingers
slippery with thoughts of their own

Shameful, artless fumbling
with cherry cheeks, I laugh
boisterously loud
but do not smile

Silent, awkward pause
I excuse myself from the table
to wash my hands and
think of something witty to say....

Safe
Sitting here
looking out the protection of my window on the world
I'm safe
watching as the wind rises and races through the trees
a howling calls out
crying and weeping boisterously at the onslaught of spring
late March winds
arrive at the close of April midst the tempest-tossed rains
rivers and streams form
where the earth slopes down into the wood
and creatures hide
hovering in the brush and thicket bush
as I watch
 safe....

Grace: the Unseen Hand of God
The flowers in bright blossom,
With leaves a deep green hue.
Butterflies gently fluttering,
Boisterously pollinating the plants.

Banana laden plants,
Plentiful papaya filled trees;
Splendid rustic roses ,
Swaying to the winds.

Squirrels scampering all around
The green grass carpet.
And Cuckoos cooing casually,
Commemorating comely nature.

That's nature at its best.
Earth's boundless bountiful prosperity,
An inherent intelligence at work;
Grace of the unseen hand of God....
