Our efforts are in vain
We’ve blundered again
Succumbing to desire
That ego doth aspire

Missing
you came upon
my
tattered self
on oceanless
sand
and blundered
upon
my soul
to find that
chaos
ruled a
fragile
heart
waiting for
the pandemonium
of yours...

The physician mixed a kiddie 'cocktail'
The young patient swallowed it and turned pale

Premium Member Reverse Midas Touch
Such was his damnable gift
Being little more than a curse
Others he wanted to lift
His touch left them so much worse
His mind lacking all insight
Leaving so many disturbed

With great verve while brandishing
A saber at a passing Saracen

They wondered if this was transcendence
And blundered towards repentance
Hearts thundered in this Presence...

Croydon Part Deux
hoardings of shops on the isle of ridiculousness
the feral pigeons pontificate
the leaking roof of the civic theatre stays
you've seen better days
you've blundered into desperation
bankrupted twice
and now you're turning the middle
of town into millionaires row
ill afforded by the minions
even our local Market is shrinking
an ebb tide of the municipality
Westfield as vexing as a fox in chase
The Central library feels lobotomised
is it part privatised?...
