Mortality
this vessel that
surrounds me
funny
I should grow to love it
just in time
to witness its decay
better late than never
I'm sure the sage would say.

Better late than never,
But never late is better;
Complete the endeavour,
Be punctual, go-getter;

We try to be clever,
Late, but do to the letter,
Remember however
To be on time, trend-setter.

     The indelible stamp
        of my favorite aunt
      my birthday gift arrived
        seven months late

      Yet unwrapping the newspaper
        was well worth the wait
      Though the fruit cake was moldy ~
        The ‘London Times' was first-rate

A Spring Roll

A spring roll! You brought me a spring roll!
A mouthful and thank you.
Shrimp! - You warn me.
Allergic to?
A slow chew.

You're lucky I said.
No allergies.
But thank you.
There's less fear.
All clear.

Better late than never.
I forgive you.
More coffee.
Won't turn blue.
Some wash-brew.

and PHEW !

Doing a Lot Better Now

This is called a Beyond-Haiku, which means it is more syllables and one more line extra…

I’m doing better,
Despite being in Room 6, in Room 6
I’m a go-getter
Even though I don’t feel like taking pics

Better late than never…
Despite being in Room 7, in Room 7
I’m a God-believer
Even though I don’t feel like Heaven

Better Late, Than Never

Okay! Better late, than never
As long it’s not a damn fever
Or else, you’ll see your lover
Sobbing, on a wooden cover
For who’ll pay the land rover
If, you left just your revolver
When you departed, forever
Because you did not recover
For thinking it’s just a fever
High or low, fever is a fever
Don’t waste time in a waver
If you want to see your lover

As long it’s not a damn fever
Okay! Better late, than never

Better Late Than Never

B-etter late than never,
R-egards don't come on time;
E-very well wish from friends
N-eeds the mountain to climb.
D-ay twelve in warm July, rhyme's arrival is delayed;
A-lthough the music sounds familiar, it's over and over played.

R-ight there in the home
O-f your facebook account;
L-ate greeter from far away
D-oes it with huge amount.
A-mount of pure delight is sent through the messenger;
N-othing to be ashamed of, it's better late than never.

Advice Better Late Than Never

Advice,
Better late than never

I was advised to ask the Doctor
For a home visit

And within just 5 minutes

My Mother was admitted to A&E

Because in all honesty i think
towards the end she was screwing
with me getting in my head

Playing game's putting me on a emotional guilt trip

But come this time i have to admit

I am not a Doctor
Nor a Shrink

I am merely her Son

And my Love alone

Can not fix her

It's now up to the Medical Professional's

Three Tears

We sisters three
like the musketeers
tears anyway;
bonded by a childhood
that should never have occurred.
no-one heard the splash
as I was pushed overboard
except my father....
he does not deserve that title.
48 years later
I am certainly making that splash
heard now.
The healing for we three
has been a long time coming
quicker for my sisters than me
but better late than never.

Better Late Than Never

Birthdays come, and Birthdays go,
Yours is past, as you well know,
Not really sure why I forgot,
Could it have been an evil plot,
I always have good intention,
Just too busy, worth a mention,
Better slow down, smell the roses,
Stop the grindstone, save the noses,
You’re thought ‘bout, more often that not,
You’re in my prayers, never forgot,
So I say with no reservation,
Gotta stop this procrastination,
So in closing, I’m thinkin’ of you,
One in Mass. and One in Muzoo.
