Angry Words
Anger is an explosive expression
Belligerence is not an excuse
Careless thoughts of idiom
Does not reason words of abuse
Why use it as a crutch?

Over & Over
Warm night
Cold day
Sleep light
Work heavy
Hot dinner
Cold drink
Eat light
Drink heavy
One drink
Feel fine
To many
Drunk belligerence
Up late
Much fun
Text message
Driver designated
More drinks
Sleeps mine
Wake up
Dry mouth
All this
Over & over...

One Death-
One death
forgiveness, death
you once promised me an eternity
give back my breath
you wicked whet
you once promised me an eternity you lied
I beg for forgiveness life
not but a stolen kiss shall darkness make
there is the only belligerence
death forgave now, alive

What Veils Me No Longer Avails Me
fold myself into the falling
files
of each row
of days
this neatly stacked
insignificance
the belligerence of common sense
casts it's shadow
break me open
& i will bleed the pages
of an order not my own
these thin sheets more rigid
than any branch they broke from
what lives here?
whose hallowed halls are these?
what veils me
no longer avails me

BELLIGERENCE AND SUBLIMATION ...
The difference is this:
The man is always
ready to explode in punches,
or bullets...
The woman always
exploding into a smile,
in a caress ...
When the soul is sublimated,
the punch changes
in a gentle wiggle,
and the bullet in delicious
caramel kiss, captivating
and audacious...

Bomber Command
BOMBER COMMAND
It won’t happen to me
he said,
we’re Bomber Command.
It won’t happen to me
he said.
We must blow the enemy out of the sky
he said.
we’re Bomber Command
The pride and belligerence of the Reich
it’s Hitler’s war on Europe
and it’s my sixteenth sortie out tonight,
he said
we’re Bomber Command
Somewhere in the Rhineland
his body lies
He gave his life for his country
but he gave mine too
in Bomber Command....

When Deception Reigns
I searched for the answer
to a question I dared to ask
wondering why people hide
behind so many masks.
The query was this:
"What's happened to integrity
when honesty is replaced
with deceit and insincerity?"
I had several insightful answers
but was left in grim despair
when i realized that so few noticed,
or perhaps they just didn't care.
It's indicative of the times
in which the world now exists;
one in which deception reigns
with belligerence and raised fists....
