We

Thusly
A thought
The first letter
A sentence ensues
The paragraph develops
A chapter has been inscribed
The new story can be ascertained
A position on the bookshelf is reserved

Premium Member THE THINGS THAT CANNOT BE EXPLAINED

There are many things we understand…
things we are confident we know…
that through science and creativity
we have ascertained…

But today we send a little blessing out
to all the things in life that cannot be explained.

Empty Tadpoles

Thoughts drown an innocuous man, found pondering about an empty tide pool. And Tad poles think about life above all else when thee light shows its radiant rays of ascertained enumeration. 3/18/16 Two-liner contest entry

Premium Member Keeping Thoughts Pure

Squalid thoughts, Disguised as Dust Bunnies, Lie dormant, In a mind's un-swept corners, Awaiting time and opportunity To be unloosed from confinement, By the tongue. But never, Will squalid thoughts, Be ascertained hibernating, In a beautiful mind.

Premium Member Be Still My Heart

When he died, the police ascertained their relationship was a bit strained. With a corpse for a bride, though the groom tried and tried, seems not much of her love still remained.

The Plea Bargain

Adam where are you?
I am here among the trees
in a compromised position,
we are joined by the D.A.
in hopes to make a deal;
if not a defense.
It was no doubt the third party
that ascertained the strife
of bad decision
onto my female companion,
whom in turn set me up,
for the great tumultuous event.

Monarch butterfly

Beloved monarch or milkweed butterfly, Your migration may mystify, Do you migrate from Australia or America?, How do you ascertained the area?, Your journey holds spiritual significance, It serves as a symbol of existence.

Climate

MAN COMES AND MAN GOES
THAT IS THE PICTURE WHICH
UNIVERSE SHOWS
BUT WHERE WE STAND
WHO KNOWS!
OUR PLANNING FOR OUR LIFE TIME
WISHING MANY THINGS AT A TIME
DESTINY DECIDES THE RIGHT TIME
PRAYER AFTER PRAYER TO LORD
MAKES ME
AN INTELLECTUAL FRUAD
NATURE AND ITS CALAMITY
AND ITS VINDICTIVITY
FEATURES OF NATURE
MAY BE ASCERTAINED
BUT ALL MACHINES HAVE FAILED
TO ASSESS HUMAN MEASURE

But where we stand
Who knows !
Our planning for our life time
Wishing many things at a time
Destiny decides the right time.
Prayer after prayer to Lord
Makes me
an intellectual fruad
Nature and its calamity
Same as human being and
Iis vindictivity
Features of nature
May be ascertained
But all machines have failed
To assess human measure

Dyadic

A thesis, ascertained through abrasions of
decubitus ulcerations of existences austerity.
   The colluded effect of unbeknownst
certainty.
Preluding the path of non precluding.
Additioned to the implausibility of unintended
effect.
Multiplied by the multiplicity of ignorant
ignorance.
Divided by the hidden figures of plausible
deniability.
    Equaling the copiousness of insurrection
and egalitarianism.

Petal

The Petal is a bud
That opens to a bloom
It blossoms with the Sun
On Summer afternoons

When Climate freezes Day
It’s easier for Men
To know why Petals wither
– Theirs to understand

But when Summer is at hand
And Noon upon the Day
Men can but exclaim
With unconcealed dismay
When the blooming flower
Folds and fades away

But for Frost within the root
And Chill within the stem
– These cannot be ascertained
By Petal or by Man
