Premium Member Martian Love

The Martian Mork
Loved the American Mindy
   He -- animated, yet robotic-formal
She -- cute, though annoyingly normal
Form: Clerihew

Premium Member Palaverous Writer

annoyingly wordy
a palaverous spirit
her writing was verbose
and boring
unliked by many
not understood by any
especially me

Flying the Sleigh

When riding the sleigh, Santa Claus has the knack
He works very hard keeping the Christmas journey on track
It doesn’t help he has a huge red sack
Sticking annoyingly into the middle of his back

Premium Member his delicate sharp schnozzzle

his schnozzle was delicate, in tune, sharp, and fine
he could decipher bread, cupcakes and white zin wine
smelled jelly fingerprints on Las Vegas dice
annoyingly, he also smelled lots of horrible mice

The Carpenter

Cried bitterly
Sweat profusely
Cooked annoyingly
Ate sorrowfully
Wished I had died honorably
Not because I lost anyone to the boring company of death
But because I found my heart untimely hammered
By the Carpenter I most trusted.

Alliterative Assertion

Although amateurs are annoyingly apt at aping another’s avocation, All artists accord another’s art acceptance, As any artwork asks appreciation, And after all, all artists are allusive, anyhow.

Fifty Words

To celebrate aging to fifty,
A poet thought it would be nifty
	To jot down some verse;
	He wasn’t averse
To being, with words, rather thrifty.

Equipped with both paper and pen,
He struggled, again and again;
	He had little luck,
	Annoyingly stuck,
Then got it and yelled out Amen!

Encounters

In the corner of my left eye
The full moon
In the corner of my right eye
Someone familiar

On front of me
The pavement, a concrete conveyor belt
Confusion of the city obscures
Annoyingly

In a blink the moon and the someone familiar
Disappear behind things

Other thoughts are conveyed to me
I wonder onwards

Sad Remember

I didn't even want
this cold and sunny afternoon,
because I already expected rain
and a taciturn setting
to frame my soul
that restless visits the past,
just to see
that my anguish
have name and address,
if she still lives there,
in that apartment annoyingly ascetic,
clean and white,
with her dragon mood
who suffers from heartburn
.

Premium Member Making Fun of Her Grandson

turquoise hair and pink stripes!
his mother must be proud!
giggling and poking fun commences.
annoyingly mean and loud.

I am proud of him,
his grandmother says with pride.
I love crazy punk stuff,
now you two better hide.

the bullies ran off in haste
For they could see she meant it.
teenager with the wild hair
loved hearing grandma vent it.

Premium Member City Songbirds Versus Country Songbirds

The city songbirds sing melodies shorter and faster
shorter and faster, shorter and faster.
Their singing is annoyingly high-pitched,
A squeak, a peep, shrill, abrupt.

Their country cousins do not recognize their language
Singing more slowly, their melodies are relaxed and easy
Their songs are pretty, a tribute to butterflies.
A lilting lovely lullaby beautified up.

Premium Member Struggling Care Giver

She thought she was struggling
Until she met one who was
Gave her food and drink, paid her rent
Felt good about it the first few months
By month seven, felt resentful
Because the woman did nothing for herself
The woman was needy, whiny, annoyingly down
She could not listen to any more of the drama
Stopped lending a hand, stopped caring
Ran to church to pray for herself
God knew she was struggling

The Wifi Blues

It's working in the laundry
It's working in the hall
But when I'm in the office
It doesn't work at all

It's terrific in the lounge
And good on the patio
But in my favourite chair
It just doesn't want to go

Sometimes it is sneaky
And it drops out quietly
So I annoyingly find
My data's used entirely

Sometimes it is patchy
But at others it is fine
My WiFi's temperamental
And I'm in the firing line!

Drumming

This drumming in my head continuously pounds
Yield I say for this reverberating resounds
Incessantly it continues so mercilessly torturing
Frequent and insistent it goes on irritating
This drumming in my head so annoyingly morose
Unfailing in its duty it continues its drone
Ongoing and neverending steadily unchanging
Leave me I plead for my words so ailing
Try I must to end this facade
Withered I stand hoping it isnt late

Premium Member A Vacuum Cleaner How Nice

The worst wedding gift I ever received was a vacuum cleaner.
I despise vacuuming and my dog hate the sound of it.
I wanted elegant things – glass goblets, droplet prisms,
lace curtains, not a small round annoyingly loud vacuum
cleaner. Thanks Mom and Dad. Great gift! This was before
you could make a list. You got whatever someone else
wanted to get rid of. They ordered a new one for themselves’
we received their hand-me-down-one.

The Key Got Stuck

The key got stuck inside the lock
Securing our son's door.
We turned and twisted but
It wasn't budging anymore.

The locksmith took a bit of time
But finally arrived
Since we were, from that entrance,
Most annoyingly deprived.

He nailed the problem 1 - 2 - 3
(The cylinders were jammed)
And now the door is good as new,
Just waiting to be slammed.

Emergencies are costly -
That we really can't debate
And that is why the bill's
$143 (dot) 88!

I'M So Passionate About Poetry...

... That maybe I need to ratchet it down a bit,
Least I appear too annoyingly enthusiatic. (HAHAHAHA)
But I want you all to know,
             The beauty of poetry
                 And my appreciation
                      For all it's form
                        Or where it came from

Is my heart's most fervent passion.....
