Abc Reflections
agave blade collects dewdrops
evocative flashes generate
heartfelt imagery

jewels kindle latent musings
new, original poetry

quivering reflections silently
trigger undulating
verses which x-press
youthful zeal

Lonely Am I
Looking at fine plants from the window
In the morning light. I see agave and cactus growing high
Weeds in the garden are left free to grow
Dill plants complete to reach to the sky

Done, but which beauty to give to?
I open the window to hear the cuckoo...

Premium Member The Taste of Her Lips
....And then he kissed her
Unforgettable, how it felt the first time
Oh, the softness of her lips!
T'was so sweet! Sugar, agave and honey
             Uniformly mixed together;
            the taste of heavenly bliss!

Seasonal Color
Summer in paradise

We dance on the beach –
aquamarine the ocean
under cerulean sky.
Dresses twirl,
saffron and coral,
colors of joy.

Eucalyptus trees whisper
faint scents of lemon.
Agave stalks stand tall;
hummingbirds hover
around the chartreuse flowers.

In the orchards,
juicy tangerine promises
gleam amid the leaves.

Later, at sunset,
a watermelon sky flames,
then fades to calm lavender
and deep lilac
as a golden moon
softly
rises.

In My Cupboards
There are Jaipur vegetables
in my new home,
Craisins, clover honey,
and maybe twenty different teas.
Pastas, Clabber Girl,
Real Mayonnaise and Agave Nectar;
things with names like
Kashi and Bumble Bar,
with canisters of cocoa, coffee
and Whole Foods Shake
vanilla flavored,
Green Vibrance (what is that?)
and Whey Protein Powder
also flavored vanilla.
But there is no vanilla,
and I'm searching for love.

Something written a year ago that I recently stumbled back upon....
