Premium Member Choose Thy Words Wisely
What if all the words you ever said,
Were made into billboards
That surrounded you and filled you with dread?
What if all the words you ever said,
Were made into advertisements for all to see,
Would you feel filled with glee or would you rather be dead?...

Premium Member Those Fagging Fools
I FORESAW MY DEATH
IN THE FUTURE
AND WATCHED IT
HAPPENING FROM AFAR
I WAS
FREIGHTED
AND SLOW IN STOPPING IT
AND REFUSE ANOTHER LIT

I BLAME IT ON MY PARENTS
I BLAME IT ON THE ADVERTISEMENTS
I BLAME IT ON THE GOVERNMENT
I BLAME IT ON THE SCHOOLS
AND I BLAME IT
ON
EVERY ONE
OF THOSE FAGGING FOOLS...

"Woman's work is cut in half!"
The advertisements bubble,
But what they never seem to say:
"Her outside duties double!"

Community, church, club and school,
The needs are there to see.
No matter how many duties call,
There's still just one of me!

The Dress Enticing On My Screen
Now screen advertisements come with the territory
And taunt me with daily diversity
Grabbing my imagination and desire,
Setting my vanity on a proverbial fire.

There’s a dress, so gorgeous how it calls,
Oh, I have to have that come this fall,
Until my senses crawl back in, I know
It would make me look like a matronly hen....

Multip-Lie
You are,
Worse than excuse letters..
Worse than gossips..
Worse than political promises..

He is,
Worse than pictures in advertisements..
Worse than punches in wrestling..
Worse than his accent..

She is,
Worse than her eyelashes..
Worse than forever..
Worse than happy ending..

Cause they,
Don't die (though I hope they do),
They simply,
Multip-lie.....

When she opens her mouth it is full of junk
Always telling me I owe somebody money,
Spews out circulars and advertisements
Every day, I tell you, it is not very funny.

A red flag is raised to attract my attention
The contents can be slippery like a fox,
Always standing out in front like a guard
She is my ubiquitous USPS-approved mailbox.

The Earthy Habitat 4
some light of the former birth
glitters on the hand-fan
made up of palm-leaves

do the child boats of the pigeon-pea flower
go to them to learn the fountain

all over the room
the cobweb of fundamentalist spiders

the toy-train breaks the water colour
to run towards the oil-colour

and on both sides of its travelling route
there are so many advertisements
of tooth-paste...

At Least, Something Is True
I was looking at you.
Morality needs to be built up,
People look around for models
Mirror showed me many things
Advertisements of shampoo, fragrance, romanticism...
And then slowly I find morality in mutilation
High thinking, Plain living...
Or high living , plain thinking...
In the cross fire of these two enormity

Still, I am happy, as I felt you are no longer there
At least, something is true....

This Is What I Think
What does a woman want?
a beautiful skin? No
Beauty queen to be seen? No!
This is what I think

Every woman beautifying
competes with naked nature
to become its princess
this too could be wrong

This is what I think
a very beautified woman
points towards a deficiency
a malnourishment of love

This is what I think
if she beautifies the hair
and paints body with cream
hidden advertisements they are...

Thumbs Down
Stars can never guarantee
A movie will be good,
Nor can advertisements
Which come out of Hollywood.

Is it worth one’s time to see
A top-notch actor acting
In a film so bad the few good scenes
Become distracting?

Don’t the actors realize
That this flick’s not up to snuff?
Maybe earning so much money
Justifies enough.

Still, it’s disappointing
When performers choose to star
In a movie for which somebody
Has clearly dropped the bar....

Premium Member My Old Car Is Fine
Automobiles these days are super expensive And, I find car advertisements rather offensive, Suggesting my old auto may soon be trash, They are promising to buy it for loads of cash. I’m not in a race to keep up with the Joneses Considering what the interest rate on car loans is, I’ll keep my jalopy as long as it gets me where, If sometimes I’m returning on a wing and a prayer.

No Make Up
physical features
gods work, sketched into inner beauty
no layers of ugly
just the hidden secrets of accepted love
imperfect perfections
no critics
just the reflection, without the makeup
why cover flaws, when perfection will never be found?
makeup hides the layer of reality while life adds the false advertisements of fairytale looks
damaging self images by the words or the lens or thy lips
look in the mirror and love the reflection that smiles without makeup!!...

Celebrity
He walks around my neighborhood
And no one gives a glance,
Though crowds would surely show
If they had notice in advance.

He’s always studying a script
And reading as he’s strolling,
But no one stops for autographs
Or fawning or extolling.

I see his face on advertisements
For his TV show;
In person he looks just the same,
His tan the perfect glow.

I wonder if this actor, though,
Is miffed or just surprised
That he walks the streets where he resides
And goes unrecognized....

Premium Member Advertisers Know Us
we are impressionable at a young age, each male and miss
tv advertisements and magazine advertisers know this
they show us what to dream of, things we want to buy
experiment with our minds, so we have to do or die

I personally like chocolate candy the best of all the sweets
but after seeing this lifesaver ad, I feel without them I’m not complete
so I run to the store, and buy them and of course they are a delight
tv will probably decide what else I will dream about this October night...
