Gently flowing to the music
Intensely aware of his touch
Caressing her waist admiringly
Like he always felt as such
~~~
Dreamily whispering in her ear
As they greedily listened with hope
For even more of these feelings
Which promised they would elope
Angel Alliteration Callings--
the angel approaches
the angel avoids Lucifer Satan
the angel achieves penance
the angel appears Holy
the angel agrees with God the Father
the angel applies toward human sufferings
the angel accepts his calling
actively flies
accidentally cries
admiringly smiles
agreeably praises God
l saw a note in the wind
caught up in the fencing
could it possibly be...?
was it what I was sensing?
determined to have it
I gazed up admiringly
it was out of my reach
fluttering enticingly
I spied a big number too!
I was feeling quite heady
my mind was in overdrive
I had spent it already
so it pains me to say
I was terribly mistaken
instead of cash I retrieved
a parking citation
When I was still in the company's
rank and file,
my 'rolex perpetual' made people
smirk and smile.
They said I was a victim in a
swindler's deal,
but jewelers' swore my late gramp's
wristwatch was real.
Sold it for a fortune, now I've
become the boss.
For fun, I wear a rolex fake,
but I'm at a loss.
Why, those who taunted me they now
admiringly watch
this cheap thing on my wrist like
it's a fabulous catch!
