Sensitive soul Michael Andrews
especially with his painted views
Using spray-painted acrylic
art made his reclusive personality tick

Elephant-like chests
On green-grey hillock
Grass grows like hair-crests
Scenes seem idyllic
A bridge, built like nests
Art on acrylic...???

Accidentally smoking some small pieces of acrylic
Sure my most recent circumstances are not idyllic
But I've heard people who've gone mad end up becoming historic.
Dreamscape of daffodils
Designed in acrylic
Depicts saffron smeared faith
Dawning of balmy views
Deep pink and purple hues
Drifting through musky air
Darling, you'll find me there
the fanciest sleeping sun I have ever seen
is sitting on a fence outside, in my meadow green.
I love everything about her, she has an acrylic sheen.
Shh! Be quiet or you’ll wake her said my friend the queen.
Ebony braids, moon misplaced
Indigo inferno flames
Speckled iris, abstract face
Drowsy eyes, acrylic paint
Haunted ash tree, trailing bleak
Torrid patchwork women faint
Pigeons perch on scribbled lines
Chanting fire petals dance,
Abstruse art, bewildered mind
When I was fifteen I had a soggy heart
“Paint what it feels like”
So I painted my heart, dripping in sorrow
The cheap acrylic paint left their printer paper as soggy as the heart I had made
I’m twenty now, and the poeticism has vanished
I don’t feel melancholy
I feel like sh*t
Slay me
September sun
hot penetrating star
wanton repossession I lust

*Poet's note: 'Smile Of The Sunrise', an acrylic painting by Marie Green*
Colored pencils
Pastels
Sticks of chalk
Too light for me
Water colors
Doing what they want
Dribbling all over the page
Wild and free
Oil paints
Vividly beautiful
Take too long to dry
I am too impatient
Acrylic paints
Give me fluorescent colors
I have black lights
They make me happy
I breathe, exercise, rest, jump and eat to paint
Loud neon canvases, nothing dull or quaint
Acrylic reds, greens, blues and silvers are on my finger tips
In my hair, on my wrists, under my arms and on my lips
Globs of orange were on my thighs and legs today
How they got there artist me refuses to say
Black canvas
Curved space
Sterling stars
Evolved grace
Painted planets
Yellow sun
White noise
Prodigal son
Bleeding brushes
Dripping plight
Solemn strokes
Sequestered light
Turgid sky
Acid rain
Burning questions
Dangling reigns
Charcoal commandments
Acrylic themes
Smeared signature
Scientific schemes
If butterflies are free
We must abolish acrylic
Boxes
Paper weights and
Tiny bottles with
Tasteless flowers...
Butterfly nets
Picture flames and
Collectors who boast to know
Them all by name.
We must abolish fancy coasters and
Little boys
Who pinch their wings...
Dead butterflies are such
Unseemly things.
In my cubical I sit
Strapped to perform the task for which I’ve been programmed
Molded to their way of thinking
In my cubical I sit
Twist tied in place behind this acrylic screen
A window to those who consume others like me
So we sit in our air tight cubicles
performing task not of our own making

(“Exploded View”, 2011, original oil and acrylic)
Artificial Ignorance has finally come of age
Proving once again the age-old adage
“Garbage in, garbage out.”
What more could we possibly expect
When we program it to mine
The collective data of mankind?
When has the average view
Let alone consensus
Ever been right?

Authors, artists, and actors attract an audience!
Authors annotate and analyze articles,
Arranging an alphabet accordingly.
An artist accents acrylic asymmetrical aspects,
Always adding attention aimed at an attractive apparatus.
Actors articulate authentic accounts,
Always appealing accurate appearances.
Authors, artists, and actors are alike.
Dark room mute whispers
Her Angel-breath a wind
Doubt forms a circle
Each blended acrylic memory
Paints pain in my beating soul
Doubt forms a circle
Each brushstroke thins the ghost
The still room blasts a symphony
Doubt forms a circle
“May the Circle be unbroken…”
I want to remember
Her eyes
Moaning love
In the laughing
Summer sun
Admirable heroine of
Beauty, power and fame
Can we dance by hymn?
Acrylic heroine of
Crayons and filbert paints
Both amiable not to stain
Doth of your dressed love and satin
Even in those unwakeable dreams
For you my lady in paint
Goddesses like lips of rose red
Hence, thee I love you from within
I called Athena's by name as I'm the painter of your
Jars and tambourines.
acrylic blue paint on my fingertips
green paint on my wrist
silver paint on my lower arm
red paint on my cell phone
orange paint on my tile floor
yellow paint on the table
turquoise paint on my chair
fuschia paint on my rug
six colors of paint on my nightgown
twenty-six colors of paint on my apron
black and brown paint on my shirt
gold paint on my shoes
I do not mind.
I am a painter.
Green on my fingers,
pink and purple too.
Acrylic paint lingers,
Ah! There is red and blue.
When I paint I’m such a mess,
Ruin my clothes every time.
Outer beauty must confess.
Truly hidden under grime.
Magical canvas,
Interrupts in ups and downs.
Makes me so happy,
In yellows, blues and browns.
Light and lively,
My fingers and my knees
Paint is everywhere,
Because I am being me.
For Christmas,
I gave you an acrylic
painting of a sunset,
on Folly Beach.
I left out the lighthouse.
I was frustrated
enough with it.
I was losing my mind
in every shade of yellow
before I gave up.
“Done! Hang it in a corner
with dim lighting.
It will look
better.”
I’m too poor
to buy you trinkets.
My long column of words
to make you smile.
Read it twice
after V-day is over.
Iniquities vertical archways
Traversing twilights retro
Drafted abysmal shadows
Aneath the roses bush...
Coloured acrylic murals
Acidics transcending
Medievils vague ambulant
Abstract mystique ?
Embellished cerium
Charcoals as that of gothics
In vitro; masque'd
Achromatic architectural
Envisioned designs...
Gomorrah's holistic
Gargoyles; a black plagues
Overture amid, Nefarious
Nepenthes, garden of her eden.
