Susan, you write with such intelligence and heart. A powerful combination for a poet to have. Sol-mate is so creative, and hyphenating birthday to match it as a parallel thought. The gorgeous painting is surpassed only by your fantastic imagery, alliteration, and imagination. This brought a big smile ~ John

I am honored and humbled to receive such a lovely critique from a poet I hold in such high esteem, John. Your wonderful response to my poem fills me with elation. I relish your thoughts and the fact that this poem brought you a big smile :) The beautiful painting is 'Smile Of The Sunrise' by Marie Green. Somehow my poet's note regarding the artist was deleted, so I've now re-edited to add her credit back again.. your lovely visit here brought my attention to this and I thank you, my friend. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan
