Familiarity
Familiar as an old book,
but priceless.
Worn and frayed like,
an ancient tome.
Pages bent and torn,
heavily perused.
Annotated musings scribbled
bring back memories.
The shininess, sexiness, luster,
crispness of new pages,
new cover long gone.
Marriage is like that old book.
Now used, worn and tattered,
but warmer, deeper, richer.

Sun visits in sharp fractal shadows through the oaks
Lunate leaves glide effortlessly toward her mushrooms
Raining leaf flow is constant, scarlet and amber go next.
Xiphoid brown performs perfect kamikaze from Cottonwood
The air is cooler today, squirrels are chattering their delight.
Chasing through leaf piles. I begin to see their high up nests.
Contrast to tree bark which has turned slim and dark.
Vitriform spider web glistens with a pronounced shininess
Moist from gentle rain on this Thanksgiving week.

An Apple
An apple, a delicious fruit
A morsel of food to eat
Delicious with a taste to boot
Its shininess something to beat
So simple but beautiful
So cheap yet stunning
Can be very delightful
The thought of it gaining
In popularity to some
Who see it as their sanctity
It making them dumb
To make it become their prosperity
But others are left behind to themselves
And fade away with others’ selves

What is a moth?
I only know flitting shadows
Magnified upon my wall.
In closets and in chests of drawers,
Despite balls that smell of hospitals,
Holes in clothes where they once were.
They dance around my lantern
Made by Coleman, forest green,
To a deep sea diver breathing kerosene.
They’re drawn to candles too.
One misses a beat
And in diaphanous tragedy
Falls to my table top,
A crushed, tropical cocktail umbrella,
Match sticks and news paper mâché.
Its carcass dusts
My hand with mica shininess
As soft as talc.
If everything is wings
And flame, what need
Does this one insect feed?

Black birds gather....early in the morning....scooping up sunshine and singing to announce a new day....
Wings flapping in rapid succession....like waves of splendor....enthusiasm galore!
Black birds gather...my heart flutters a new beat...a tempo like none other...like the shininess of soft piano keys...your passion to sing enlightens me
Oh how I wish I could sing at the first shards of sunlight....how I wish I could fly around from tree top to tree top ushering in the new opportunity
I will do my best to do the same thing right down here with my mug of hot coffee!
How I love the NEW DAY!

Memories of being 10
Most consist of the playground
some consist of classrooms and teachers
few consist of competitions and awards
Memories of being 10
I remember the chess tournament
I remember the smooth wood of the pieces
I remember the semi-dark & cool room
My last match
I had won all of my other matches
I moved my rook 6 spaces forward
and with my queen guarding it
he had no choice but to move into a corner
right into my trap
I move my knight and claimed checkmate
Memories of being 10
I remember the coolness,
smoothness and shininess
of that brand new chess champ medal

In the light of your beauty
I seek for those lovely songs
Planted behind those glossy lips
To peel the bark of my loneliness
Which is my hunger
But my admiral looks
Meets the glittering smile
Around your ring finger
My path unzips into two
Where I loose direction
If It’s shouting shininess
Is meant to scare
Or beckons with a stare
To tell you are taken.

Prophet Mohammad is the first Leader of the Universe
He is as dear to God as His heart and the Best Friend of God
He is the symbol of God’s innermost layer of glow
That is the glow of kindness, the white and silver glow
This glow has maximum density and minimum shininess
That’s why we’ll be able to stare at God’s body.
Prophet Jesus is the second Leader of the Universe
He is called the Soul of God because he is so dear to Him.
He is like the Son of God and is the symbol of God’s body and peace.
God has seventy thousand layers of His glow
Each layer has a different color and characteristic
Prophet Mary is like the Beauty and Purity of God
She is the third Leader of the Universe
And she is the symbol of God Herself.
Imam Mehedi is the fourth Leader of the Universe
And he is the symbol of God’s outermost layer of glow
That is the glow of pride, the yellow and golden glow
This glow has minimum density and maximum shininess.
