Shaded Poems

Premium MemberShaded Light and Antlers

woodland filled with shaded light and antlers.
beauty’s said to be in the eye of the beholder.
autumn leaves, soul of the soil, wildflowers…
buck and doe scintillate in their space.
they prefer to do life alone sans humans -
get rather skittish when two-legged creatures
enter their retreat…their abode…their cover.
a silent hunter, in stand at dawn, cocks
a gun or pulls back a bow, robbing solitude,
causing ruination of perfect contentment.
woodland with bolting light and flaming arrows.
hunter’s salivating for meat and trophies.

Our Masterpiece

My hand thus move swiftly
On the canvas
Like a speed of light.
Paints...splattered on my shirt
From mere color pallet
My brush sweeping softly.

How would you paint me?
... She asked

A silhouette of dark and light
As we hold each other tight
Draw you close and make you mine
With a brush so light and fine.
I'll sketch your lips in shaded tone
Your love to match my own.

Shaded Sparkle

To forgive and forget a lingering horrid past

A monumental act someone should consider

And when the unrelenting sun shines at last

Faded moments might unveil a hidden luster

Premium MemberShaded Day

The day is shaded with the dark glory
of a quiet dream in which you are still alive.

The designless ribbons of life dangle into the stormy deep
of a secret place where each of us must one day enter.

A brief sojourn through shaded day
leaving only a haunting blood melody.

Blinding Shaded Deception

Alluring sunshine intrudes each crack and crevasse heart possessed,

Galvanized warmth within the veins of uncharted territories flow,

Debacle through delusion of tenderness and safety repressed,

Endear so the light as demoralize be the shadow,

Reversal of sunshine bliss to swallow as disloyalty is confessed,

Liars and cheats impersonating as igniting lovers tiptoe.

The Shaded Tree

The Shaded Tree

There's nothing like a warm summer day
To picnic under a shaded tree, a gentle breeze
To cool your mood as you gobble down food
Swatting at flies from your fries and pies, make you

Want to close your eyes, and conjure up a beehive
No repellant to ward off the any invasion trekking on
The picnic basket, carrying bits of food as they steadily
Form a line gathering up the chunks of rind, and making

There way to that ant hill mine, you close your eye's
And take a deep breath of nature's fragrant air
Wishing you were in Kriti Crete or on a cruise ship
Sailing the islands, and listening to the music drumming

In your ears, no care of fear as you swat the flies and stomp
The ants as they steadily approach the spot you enjoyed
For a little while, neither glance skyward to see the clouds
Float by, nor nap under the shaded tree

As you pack up the picnic basket, and shake out the crumbs
On the blanket, you glance up at the leaves on the tree branches
With a thought to come back another day to have
A picnic and sit under a big shaded tree

Blue Shaded Hues Dance

Blue on ocean blue
  dance rippled shaded hues
Indigo casting blended shades
  as violet muses misbehaves

Waltz in between
 the Azure cyan scenes;

The island of Capri's breast
remains icy arctic blue skies at rest
touch down to evening cobalt dark
set the dye as it casts days final spark.

Salsa Latin sensual queens
  electrify softer periwinkle dreams.

Peacock dresses hurry away
in the wavy foam of sapphire sways
Persian blue abshari flows
  along a silky darkened road.

In the evening mist the rainbow fade
to every color the prism laid.

Amidst the Shaded Sun

Sitting, quiet and still
Breathing the air that nature provides
Where spirit and self become one

Upon the waters beside the mill
In the picture that never hides
Amidst the shaded sun

Cel-Shaded Gold

I forgot how to write
My God it's not sounding right
The way I'd shape my face by phrase on a page
The shades I'd make cry, pray, and praise your name

Out of the blue you chalked me on cue
To change the hue of my attitude
You say "I'll pull it right out of you
And carry this, your arrogance
An arrow in
My vow to you"

So what do I do when I've lost my voice
And need a ploy just to prove my choice
When it's true that

That I'm the biggest fool on the planet but
But I'd be a tool to wanna change it 'cause
'Cause I'm a lion in a strange land
I'm untamed maybe I'm deranged and
I can't say I'm a safe man

I don't sell my soul, although you know I'd
I'd go render my last cel-shaded gold
Through a bold
But hidden code
Where love and hate they'll mold fixated in a humble abode

You see I'm not perfect
And for sure you've heard it
Oh it's true that

That I'm the biggest fool on the planet but
But I'd be a tool to wanna change it 'cause
'Cause I'm a lion in a strange land
I'm untamed maybe I'm deranged and
I can't say I'm a sane man

No I can't say I'm a safe man
So I can't say I'm a sane man
No I can't say I'm a sane man
So I can't say I'm a safe man

Shaded

Center stage star
yet hooded afar
uncloak your smile
Let it unjar

open the blinds
black and then red
take down old mantras
make new ones instead

ignite your old spirit
that used to sing
Unlock your heart
thats been surfacing

trying to swim back
to the top
from where its been hiding
alone in the dark.

your soul is not a secret
with me
know that i care
unconditionally

rise above the mental
hardship
the heart that i know
resides on my lips.

Dark Shaded White.

I live to lie under trees dying from the hot sun and no water, but I'm shaded,
I will not be deprived of things i cant have,
With my eyes i cant see things that die jaded.
Even if this cigarette burns to the tip, i will take another hit and i drag.

The night depletes with each breath that shakes out my temple,
And the cold screams in the wind keep me up as always,
The solution is right in front of my face but in actuality its not all that simple.
The screams terrify me, even when its not night they scream on all days.

And i stay stuck here, waiting for the echoes to stop screeching.

The battle that i cannot win nor lose, but i have a choice and i choose,
The thick dusty land around the trunk i lay at drains,
My emptiness is full and instead of withholding, i ooze.
Pain only manifested in the dark places of human brains.

And i lay here, deciding if my once perfect vision will stop streaking.

I ponder past thought for decisions that involve meaning,
And overall i cant cradle this life with such a shadow,
Life in a shaded area causes a devilish stinging.
But then again ill die if i try to live a life that's too shallow.

Shaded Tree

There was a tree that death
proclaimed to be his. Then
one day with might and
stength, this shaded-tree
perceived its divine-purpose.

From nowhere a mighty and
ferocious young lion appeared.
None would dare take this
precious and heling tree's life
now.

For he realize that God, Him-self
placed this magnificent lion of royal-
ness to protect him from the laborer
saw and ax.

Suddenly his branches sprung forth with
great fortitude. yet, deep within its center, one could
behold his hurtful scar that death imprinted upon him.
Nevertheless, did life and strength and healing
come from his will to live. Thus, was the purpose of
the wonder of this Shaded Tree.

Shaded

With my hands held high, I'm stepping up & I'm stepping out,
to show my love of life, as I hold true to myself,
true to my word, which is to be seriously accepted & positively heard.
There's no mistaking just where I start or where I end,
There's no hidden message , when I call you friend.
I, can't be denied the love I have for my heritage,
or be judged by the color of my skin.
So don't look behind me, there's nothing to see,
Don't judge who's around me because, there won't be
Don't hold back, when it's not me
or lie because you're not sure what to believe.
Allow the words of my soul to soak in & through you flow,
For my word is, what holds me to be gold.
In these fields of words, there's treasures to be, told.
While I lay in the brown color of my skin, my heritage
my house hold, where I, was, brought up in
We can't be segregated or divisibly separated
due to our skin being shaded.
We can't fall or be evaded.
We rise to make it or nothing at all,
We strive with no reason to hide.
Pushing on with, our sworn love to our Brown Pride
