A room in my head called emotion
Controlled by various means
A thermometer reacting to the room temperature of others
The cold shoulder of silent indifference
Could turn the blood in my veins, to frozen streams
Other times, blood starts to boil with internal rage
The mercury of overreaction, starts to rise
The volatile instability, damages perception
I work hard on a solution for my personal climate control
I do, have a choice
Reactive thermometer or self-regulating thermostat
Someone else’s winter can be my thawing spring
Heated summer anger, can be a pleasant autumn day
That room in my head, needs comfortable stability
Self-awareness becomes the barometer of my emotions

In the conjugal life’s complex topography,
vowed to traverse to the end together
within the sacred institution of matrimony,
the path may bifurcate where distrust dust gathers.
Marking the legal dissolution of marriage,
the partners once embraced by love and commitment,
walk divergent walkways through the emotional corridor,
away from incompatibility, for they grow apart over time.
The common course splits with the conflicting mindsets,
plunging into whirlpool of emotional challenges,
bears testimony to how the convivial chord
of conjugal harmony the impaired sentiments crumble.
In the lonely search for the way out of despair
psychic positivity leads to personal growth,
offering the opportunity of new beginnings,
helping to rise from the ruins of the past.
Self-esteemed prudence is a guide to navigate
the new reality through the terrain of self-regulating life,
and curve out an independent course to move on,
for the night ends, a new sun rises in another dawn.

In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you
From In the Year 2525 by Zager and Evans
Luddite
Robots that clean floors
and pools
Robots that assist with
surgery
Robots that search for
explosives
Robots in all areas of
manufacturing
Robots unpiloted as
drones
Self-driving cars
Self-regulating thermostats
Self-guiding weapons
Self-regulating houses
It won’t take until the year 5555
The time is already here
What will we have left to do
A machine can do it all for us
I am rapidly becoming a Luddite

Divergence of the roads vowed to walk to the end together
In the institution of marriage where distrust dusts gather
Veers with conflicting mindsets into emotional challenges
Observes how the chord of the conjugal harmony changes.
Rise from the ruins of quality time once shared but gone
Chart a new course of self-regulating life and move on
Ebon night ends for the new sun to rise in another dawn.

Peak experiences
are fueled by solar sky
born of Earth's
full-fired eco-regeneration
And water's ionic flow decomposing information
circulating rivers branching
pumping EarthTribe's restoring hearts
and crowns
and roots
breathing in and outside lungs
through double-binary zen-bleached
beached mind fullness,
compassion's slow self-regulating
co-optimizing bliss
Organic nurture
surfing liberal loves
deep within conservational lives.

And I’m released in tiny bursts,
Like suddenly remembering what color the sun is,
Like remembering we’re all a bit like laser beams.
Why do I lean against the walls of the cave,
Self-regulating my impulses and bright-eyed notions
In a bubbling laboratory, upended with what I thought I wanted,
And what I felt was true?
That blue cord of boundless vision is either suddenly in shadows,
Or doesn’t want to come to the party as often.
Or you’re sitting on it and you don’t even realize it.
What's the bother? You’re making it all up, anyway.
Though it does matter what you’re creating.
Everyone’s watching.
This is the time and you know it.
And as vanity runs to the basement
The blue hues brittle into something near bliss.
