Late November,
and lonely resonance of harmattan
salutes this solitude.
A weaverbird's contralto, in one
gale-sweep, lays bare the lower balustrade
of a maisonette,
and the romance of the last seasons
shoots the long throat of the clarinet...
O'classicals, on wings
ye come;
leaf cusps and petal ears —
classicals, swearing oaths of
mellifluous assembly...
Calm rhythms hasten to the
ears of Beethoven —
summon him for a serenade,
lest the dark shelter of a
decrepit day strips this solitude.
Anodyne hisses among
this hidden threshold,
curing and healing the weakness of
Clepoatra's hair, dampened with
the venom of haters of vanity.
Classicals,
rid us now of this grief of mundane
dances...
Even in death, Stravinsky hails solitude
on notes of the keys.
From the clarinet,
the bimetallism of barter —
the platitude of life and death
(symbiosis of percussions)
epitaph to the aftermath of
inveterate tradition —
now and forever...
And the clarinet looms.
Summer is a time of wanderlust and fun with long days and warm nights
A season to enjoy the outdoors as we cultivate our many gardens of life
The days are now getting shorter as nature slowly starts to rest into slumber
Hummingbirds take their last sip of nectar before their fall departure
Leaves start to transform from green into bright crimson, orange and gold
Gardens deliver their last bounty then rest as they become brown and drab
It will soon be fall, a season of anticipation of the upcoming holiday season
Homes decorated in harvest décor in gold and rust and with orange pumpkins
There are four seasons every year on earth.
They are Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
The season now is like boiling water.
This season is mostly good for the plants.
Well, experts say that plants need much sunlight.
All living things need sunlight to live too.
It’s so hot, but need to get used to it.
Oh, the sun! The sun! The bright shining sun!
Some brightness is enough to light up sky.
Not too few and not too much that hurts eyes.
We know you’re here by looking up the sky.
You are gone above when he starts to cry.
You make nature and humans have new life.
You may be there until the end of life.
IN LIFE’S GODLY SEASONS
Death need not be feared;
It’s in the nature of life:
Seasons come and go:-
Seek a saintly life,
From your spring to your autumn:
Soaring in God’s grace:-
In God’s sown love,
Be a reaper of his grace:
Saintly ascending:-
The Moment of Spring
The valley at last in full bloom
Frosty nights
And wind machines in the morning
Flowers all calling
Buzzing bees in the day.
Everywhere greens have emerged
Fresh and moist and innocent
A wave of Life cresting
Before summer’s heat
Makes it all tired and dry
Dashed upon the beach
In its inevitable fall to winter.
But in this moment
There is only the spirit of renewal
The promise of abundance
And unbridled enthusiasm
Of Life simply living life.

Every Spring brings storms
because a new season has
growing pains, just as a new
season of life has such pains.
However, both kinds of seasons,
introduce beauty that takes your
breath away and calms your soul.
In the rain and wind of life
Cover yourself
Take your destiny
Into your own hands
Then only you can ride
The rough, wet and windy roads ahead.
Embryonic Stage
So comfy and warm
Not feeling a hint of harm
Oh, what’s happening
Birth
Good grief, it’s so cold
O’er and o’er again was told
“Beautiful baby”
Child Age
Play sports, make good grades
Life’s full of adventure days
Hates vegetables
Teen Years
It’s an awkward age
Parents struggle through this stage
Just stay sane through it
Young Adult Years
Leaving home first time
Into unknown, a steep climb
Where will it all end
Middle Adult Years
Work and family
Agony and ecstasy
Stalwart day by day
Older Adult Years
Body , soul, and mind
Seeking peace of special kind
Beyond ever known
Falling in line the soft sway of tulips salute a springtime bathe of purity upon the firery dawn
Leaning in a pirouette formation a soft dew drop ballet sheds a tear of passion in a wind blow song
A new cycle of life transforms a frozen
stage into a warming debut
As the sun rises high upon a curtain of blue
Our Seasons hold knowledge of life and death-
from new Spring to Winter- in every breath.
Through Summer, Fall, Winter- never forlorn
since they know again- Spring will be reborn.
Cold dissipates as the Winter bird tweets.
Perpetual treat, that enters my ear, singsong
merriness, retreats all too quick, completes
its assignment, to the next neighbor, gets along.
Stillness of second Winter, naked oaks.
A seasonal painting as my window frames.
Upcoming Spring, the loss in April, brushstrokes
that paint a vivid scene, purple in flames.
Summer and Fall wedged in between, poking
the embers, sending smoke up the chimney hole.
On this side of heaven long days, never revoking
the pact to keep sealed in her urn, memories toll.
Still heaven is hope, hopeful days of endless sun,
seasons without pallor and pain, holding so soft
hands, hugging eternity, leaning on Tree of Life; one
family in the Lord; my mother’s eyes…I look aloft.
The winter snow and freeze killed everything
I planted in the spring,
Rhododendrons, roses, Hawaii hibiscus
And the bougainvillea orange king.
Parsley, sage and thyme are gone,
Peony and pansies too,
The daisies died and I still sigh
For the loss of primrose blue.
No more azaleas or alyssum,
Passionflower or peppermint,
The coleus did not last nor sassafras,
And goodbye to rosemary’s scent.
And all the leaves on the lemon tree
Look more like a weeping willow,
Sagging sadly as if begging madly
To finally let her go.
But Spring is looming ‘round the bend
And new seeds await good earth,
To come alive in sun-filled skies
And signify life’s worth.
As all things come, and all must go
In a whisp of place and time,
Like flowers and plants in a cosmic dance,
The seasons of life are Sublime.

OF THE NATURE OF LIFE
(A Senryu Trio)
Seasons of nature
reflect the nature of life;
challenging changes:-
Each season weathers,
claiming its own uniqueness;
just as our lives do:-
Let’s live seasoned lives.

OF THE NATURE OF LIFE
(A Senryu Trio)
Seasons of nature
reflect the nature of life;
challenging changes:-
Each season weathers,
claiming its own uniqueness;
just as our lives do:-
Let’s live seasoned lives.
No matter the challenges,
live triumphantly:-
The eruption, an autumnal blaze: yellow, red, and orange flames,
A reminder of the beauty of nature, the fragility
Of life, the mortal function of death, in
conjunction to rebirth, beyond preservation, the sensation
Of time, slipping away before our
Eyes, in a flurry of
Colors, showing us the
Beauty in endings
Hope in
Beginnings.
