It abides in the lintel, leaving only
to hunt in the klong.
It was here when we moved in,
we are the renting guests
living under a large Monitor lizard.
Dawn coffee on the loggia,
the jungle going to sleep.
The movement of rain,
pacing over green canopies.
The wooden house creaks
as the sun floats over blue mountains.
Soon the tiffin carrier will arrive
on her tricycle,
bringing coconut rice
wrapped in banana leaf,
some pork dumplings.
A meal shared
with a cat and a huge reptile
as we watch the hour uncoil.

Last night I dreamed I was weeding my vegetable garden in the Drive-in theater, while people wandered back and forth from snack bar to their cars.
While pulling weeds, I saw a banana slug and was about to squish it when I realized it had legs. It was an eight foot monitor lizard! I chased it around the grounds and finally caught it and put it in the car. Then I went back to my garden to see if that huge tiger salamander was still there. It was!
I decided to go home with the monitor and the salamander when I realized, oh no, my little dog Daigoro was in the car! I got all frightened the monitor ate him, but he was perfectly all right. The rest of the dream was trying to drive home with Daigoro under one arm so the monitor wouldn't get him.

A pretty flower solitary in an abandoned field of endless weeds
-unpicked by a weed lover, who is unfaithful.
A long zigzagging crack on a ruined wall
containing pockets of moss green moss,
glistening, and glossy
-harboring a colorblind emerald green lizard
unseen by the uninquisitive.
A nest way, way up high- consisting of tangled twigs picked from the dirt
-touching the sky
-empty and forgotten and yet revisited.
An unwitting cow covered by an enormous brown spot
that wraps around it with edges that barely touch on the other side.
A two headed snake that pops up on the internet, hissing.
A tiny hard to define bug upon your monitor screen
-just out of reach, that might in fact be an eye floater, which bugs you.
A cat and dog ying yanging purrfectly, forming an absolutely perfect sphere, that rolls.
An inside out fish tank with…yes you trapped in the center,
with a limited supply of oxygen.
A dead tree bough on a thriving tree.
A thriving tree planted in dead soil.
Dead soil on a thriving planet.
A wind that blows back against a breeze- and a breeze that blows back in turn,
and then out of turn.
Leaves bearing the brunt of the confusion.

The month May had brought the hottest summer early
Decided to go to our village cottage. Stayed in the cabin with family feel worthy Picked and ate the fruits of juicy orange.
Travelled an hour and reached our hut. Put the key in the lock of the door easily. The door opened with a creak by the result. Something moved in the lodge speedily.
A new visitor had visited our place certainly
That was a huge monitor lizard surely. It produced a rattling sound by striking its tail purposely
Rambled here and there in the room fully.
It's highly forked tongue resembled like a snake
And the new comer licked it's eyes balls frequently His arrival realized our mistake. But we learned to encounter anything mentally.
Had no intention to kill the shy animal badly Which would rather stay away from humans safely.
Atlast the guest went out of the home gladly Felt that it had brought good luck lately.
