Premium Member One Day Until New Year

Since the beginning of man, there has been
hatred, wars and stinking thinking.

There are people who bow to their God, twenty- times a day.
Praying, their god blows you and your country, clean away!

And worse, they live in almost every single country.
Not at all fair, as you happily vote them into offices, quite sundry!

Each sunrise, be grateful you have awakened to the very bright wintry
day.
Be humble, be loving, but stop thinking, we meager poets can wash
hatred away.

Make a moral inventory of your life and of yourself.
It is insanity to believe that world peace is up to us!

You were not born to run this world.
Nor to destroy a poet or a nation with your
very saccharine stirring words.

How in heaven’s name do you think nations
ever lasted?
Many gave their lives, so you would never be blasted.

Be aware following heinous, murderous
Groups.
Stop thinking peace is as simple as selling
cookies in a girl scout troop.

We are simply not saviors of the universe.
Remember huge nations bow tewnty times a day, wishing on this free world., an end, and a curse!

Premium Member Exaggeration Or Fabrication

She had on a gray shawl, but I recognized her I told my friend Dawn.
“I used to have a gray shawl,” Dawn replied. It was wool and itchy.
She had left it in several restaurants, and her mother-in-law stole it.

My daughter is the leader of four girl scout troops, I informed her.
“I was in a girl scout troop once, but then we moved.
I was angry with my parents for moving me; I was about six.”

I did not bother to tell her that when you are six, you are a brownie,
You are not yet a Girl Scout.
I was wondering if this was an exaggeration or a fabrication.

My husband has been awake since three this morning, I told her.
“I have been awake since midnight,” she informed me.
“I wish I had only been awake since three a.m.”

One of my friend’s daughter was killed in a hit-in-run I told her.
“I was killed in a hit-and-run,” she replied. “In another lifetime”.

Premium Member You Are Supposed To Play Dead

She came charging down on me with her full weight.
I wanted to be invisible, but it did not happen.
I was gripped tightly in the throes of death.
She was tearing me apart, in pieces

Unconcerned with my screams.
I was quiet now, smeary, a bloody mess.
A carcass in pieces. I watched horrified.
Worried about what my Cub Scout troop would see in the morning.

Never try to outrun a grizzly, my dad had always said.
I knew I was supposed to drop down and play dead,
but who can do that? My grandmother put her arm on my shoulder.
You have seen enough, she said.

We headed toward the light.

Premium Member Serendipity With a Capital S

I took seventeen girl scouts sledding on January 21st, 1979,
But I only went down on the sled twice.
You don’t remember that!
Yes, I do.

No, you don’t!
Yes, I really really really really really do.
To make these really’s totally effective you have to stick out your tongue at the end of this.

You do NOT remember THIS DATE after 38 years.
Yes, I do.
How do you remember it? Was it your birthday?
No.
Was it someone else’s birthday?
No.

My husband is exasperated by now, because
We are ruining the ending of his T.V. Show.
He yells in from the living room,
“She had Susie the very next day!”

Susie, our third baby, is a girl scout troop leader for two girl scout troops
And that my friends, is what I call Serendipity.

Baptists and Boy Scouts

Baptists and Boy Scouts

So have you heard the latest scoop;
Baptist Church has told each scout troop
Gays aren't good for church anymore
And people about Baptists are really sore.

God said, "We are all equal in eyes of the Lord,"
How can all of the Baptists really afford
And have created such a outrageous scene
By to all gay males being so mean?

Who enters heaven is determined by God,
Love Him and much money don't have to laud
And one thing about Baptists I'm starting to find
Is they seem to be born with a simple mind.

Do you think that in hell Baptists will languish
After they have created all of the anguish;
Didn't we determine that the dissemination
Of discrimination was grounds for incrimination.
