Premium Member Above the Quay - 2

Consider this choice (of sound mind) my last hurrah,
Have no doubt about my motive so pure and fine
See my feet dangling just above the waterline;
Give my fond farewells, observe my last scofflaw.

I chose this heavy iron chain around my neck; you see,
Coarse cattle rope was much too gauche, too primitive
A way for this gentrified man to take his final leave
To indelibly announce he no longer wishes here to be.

I am as innocent as a newly-born child into this world,
No misdemeanors to confess before a judge or jury
Only experiencing raw anguish and unmitigated fury
At the many false accusations at me wrongfully hurled.

Emotional Perihelion

EMOTIONAL PERIHELION

Alpha rhythm

Relaxation to angst

Indifference inspired hate

Electrified mutiny. Powerful schism

Scofflaw perplexed;

Sycophantic insensate-

Brutal – inhuman – Trait

Trail of honey to lead the insects-

To altruistic rape.

Drug down into a selfless feudalistic hate.

Sadomasochistic shapes

Shadows crawl back in

And begin to dissect

Honor to inject and action to defend;

With pride, dishonor dies. Says goodbye,

To shame and regret.

The end.

Shatner the Scofflaw

Full engines ahead
strap on the boots
Captain Kirk on the microphone
rudeboy knows how to dress in the fine-(butt) suits

He's got a fine tan shirt
with an emblem on the chest
Captain of the starship crew
passes the test

All the interstellar girls all love him the best
When Capt. Kirk rock the mic you can forget all the rest
Warp speed forward, phasers on stun
He's got all those Klingon (d)uckers stammerin' on the run

Pop a cap in Romulan behind
at the Neutral Zone they shoulda stopped to read the sign
Captain Kirk on the prowl, all the hippychicks gone wild
Tiberius on this mic choppin' kung-fu style

Live Long and Prosper fool
