Shameful role of Police.

then why your actions are opposite of your claims?
Note. You are what you do, not what you say you will do.

It is not a palpable thing
But an absence of: quite striking!
There is a coolness in its depths
That colors black and white
Into shades of grey
Reminiscent of the rainbow.

Poet's Notes:
A visceral response to a first reading of a poem on PoemHunter.com by Soumita Sarkar called 'Darkness,' a sense that even 'Darkness' itself plays a role in turning us toward the 'Light.' A sense as well that even at our brightest we are still not Light, in Grace though we may be.

In the river of life
Driftwood we are
Polished by experience
Honed by wisdom
Scarred and formed by reality
Dressed with the fabric of destiny
Education to others who watch and listen
In awe and amusement our lives glisten
On this side struggle and grief
On the other green pastures
Decisions decisions decisions
Aaaaaah! A decision at last
Temporary though; we do not believe
In the next flood we will have to leave
Come to rest on another bend
With the hope that this is the end
Over decades the grains of wisdom show
With life's experience we glow
Decisions, decisions, decisions again
We know that this is not the last
Decisions will come one day again
With the experience of the past
