Sapphires - a Tercet
This is heaven's stone so blue as the day sky.
Earth in space takes its rest on a sapphire.
And the sapphire casts out its blue rays right.
The rich British Crown Jewels where they lie
do now show bluish gems of the Empire.
All the sapphires there do give us fine sight.
Cool blue stone's Jupiter's mark that's so high.

Stonehenge For Sapphires
Clutching at her notepad like stones of precious sapphires
She shuts her eyes in hopes of extinguishing raging fires
In her somnolence, thoughts through her mind float like fireflies
Whilst her pen gleans her teeming brain all else dies
Drowning in a nightmare a sleeping beauty with no hope to wake
He found her consumed in an old love’s Stonehenge

while burnished tears bow from a silent gray tomb.
Songs of dreams belong among the red skylarks

Strangers in beautiful buildings
Bouncing away from each other
Conforming to individualism
Nostalgia.
Pays handsomely for memories
Prays haphazardly for miracles
Drowning in the sands of time
Strife.
Hotdog vendors
Wasting oxygen and living space
Dreaming of superstardom
Debt.
Trapped in a fishbowl in California
Immersed in the abstract
Drunk on force-fed cruelty
Gravity.
Giant magnets everywhere
Littering galaxies
Fettering free minds
Death.
Army dreamers making love
Two-halves human
Tap dancing on Father Time
Colorblind.
Studded with emeralds and

Sapphires and Fireflies
Tonight, of all nights, I catch the falling sky
while the world spins off it's axis out the corner of my eye
My room is barely lit by a single firefly
as I blow the trees off mountains with a singulary sigh.
The resin of the moon is the shadow of my face
The stars collide and sprinkle dust to
