A devout choir leader from Garriston
insisted that her choir were all Christian.
In anthem and song
with harmonies strong
they enhanced the Parish's mission.
or
An amorous choir mistress from Garriston
did seduce a bass choirman. They kissed and
cuddled in the belfry
as well as the vestry,
deeply shocking the pious old sacristan!
Another contribution to our collection of local Limericks.

THE KING OF THE HOUSE
In Vallelado, Segovia, to a woman from quarter
God gaves his grace: she just had seven daughters
And she was about to give birth
Without knowing if it would be son or daughter.
The day of nativity play revealed the difference
And the village people said "that impossible"
They could not believe it
After being born so much females
That they should come and see him.
They came to meet him and see if he was a boy.
They congratulated the father and mother
Worshiping the child as a king.
Little girls, when they saw him, said smiling:
"The Little sailor stand out
And his two ships loaded with gold and silver”.
They say that pigeons peeked out their window
And the bells of the parish church
Played with joy alone
And Sacristan said: "Not for less."
The medieval clergyman
Who came with his concubine
Exclaimed: "A good combine harvester
For the Village."

An Excerpt from the Poem "The Man Who Sold the World"
ii.
Meanwhile
In the American Sector
A small cermaic
Statue of The Christ
Hidden by muscular
Candelabra arrogantly
Thrusting toward the vault,
A post-war knockoff
To replace a priceless
Treasure survived the
Allied Bombing to fall
Liquidated by the
Battle of Berlin
Begins shedding real
Tears of
Blood.
And the assistant
Sacristan:
Young priest/Father
Confessor,
Believes
And keeps the secret
As his Soviet handler
Has taught him:
"Never talk.
Think, but don't speak.
Never trust, but
Believe in me."
He keeps his trap
Shut.
A sign from heaven
Yes, he believes,
From heaven above:
Just for him
To comfort this
Judas on the
Journey to the Tree
In the orchard.
