It was not just another morning,
much the same as every morning
that had come before.
It was the morning to celebrate
joy in front of an empty tomb,
although those gathered there
did not yet realize.
It is a morning of celebration,
because the Lamb of God
has taken away condemnation
for those who believe
... “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ~Romas 10:8-13 NIV
For those who believe
death is like going to sleep in the evening,
and in the morning opening your eyes
in God's beautiful garden.

The sun is bright in the clear morning sky
but brings little warmth as the solstice
is tomorrow and the photoperiod
decreases with each day.
A light frost yesterday and the eggplants
are not looking good but the tomatoes
seem okay and we will have chard,
kale and carrots well into autumn,
although the fall spinach never
set in and I must remember
to get a bushel of Romas
from the Farmer’s
Market to freeze
for the winter.
While in the city, the second wave
of the plague is rising and we
fear for our children but
they are younger and
God willing, we will
all be together for
Thanksgiving.

Beloved bohemian bucolic bluegrass
Yielding yonder yellowed younger yesterdays
Tattered thoughts travel to the twilight temple
Hillside hoisted homage of honeysuckle happenstance
Elusive enchanted elixir emanates exquisitely
Whispered wisdom while waltzing walkabout
Aromas adrift awaken avid awestruck angels
Trembling trees transcend tacit timelessness
Entwined embrace enamored encounters
Romantic ritual of rhythmic rippling reverie
Stunning stage sacred sanctuary secluded
Epitome of enlightened effervescence emerges
During dusk dangling dreamy delectable delights
Guileless gracefully guarded gem’s glow
Exploring enigmatic edge’s ephemeral essence
