Mother's Lifeline

MOTHERS LIFELINE
They think I'm taking it well, but the truth is it hurts.

How many times will I grieve you? This isn't even the first.

You spent years on life support. My voice was the plug.

Every day, I spent screaming over you, trying to wake you up.

You thought I was mad? I'd just had enough.

But it was never anger. It was passionate love,

from a daughter who didn't want to give you up.

This grief they feel, I've felt for most of my life.

So I just thank God, you were sober when you died.

Premium Member Heavenly Irish Reunion - Form IV - Seadna

I heard an old Irish refrain
rising to make my heart long,
bringing me some kind of solace
and kinship in a sad song.

Tree climbing to where I belong -
by God, I have Irish roots -
Roddy McCorley, breathing
my dead last breath in my boots.

I’ll reunite with my sister -
see her in heaven so sweet,
buying fresh cockles and mussels,
my Molly Malone to meet.

But let us not rush to judgement -
just like Tim Finnegan said,
I’m not ready for the Devil.
Don’t you decide that I’m dead.

A Poem For Roddy

You were small, but oh so strong,
A fighter’s spirit, a purr, a song.
From shadows deep, you found the light,
And filled our home with pure delight.

Thirteen years of love we knew,
Our days were brighter, thanks to you.
Now softly, gently, you take your rest,
Forever our star, our bravest, the best.

Rest easy my Prince Roddy xx

How much positive phosphorus is in a human body?
I hear the facts in tiny whispered scientific snatches
Stated by a biologist named Mr. John T. Roddy
Each of us has enough to make twenty-two hundred matches

Faith,hope and charity
each positives, to me
and essential,as can be

The first,a gift from God
with agape,for free
the other as certain as can be

.....try them,each one,is for thee

Premium Member The Alien Plan

above our heads
and flying high,
manipulations few could believe

whole generations fooled
and bled to slave at life - with chance
to stay above the doom
that lay beneath the lies - that feed
the masters of our destiny - blindly led
to fight their wars - for gold beyond
what measures know - to harvest
souls and build a race - with no emotion
....shades of gray - everyday we start
again - with chosen scripts
approved by those who rule this
place we think is free - they give
us games and penny idols - 'till
one morn' - we'll wake and look around

with no emotion
to
