The old facts lie, the old truth dies
Everything needs update
The new facts open our eyes
Revisionism is great
New lemming-minded must observe
This harsh reality
The world we thouroughly deserve
Our ancestors couldn’t see
So after cleaning it looks fine
This good old brave new world
Its pharisees and philistines
Its glorified absurd
What’s new, looks old, and in reverse
Its all the same, my dear
The truth enacts with inner source
Of deepest secret fear
In order to avoid the bad
Consequences we see
We drink more wine, and eat less bread
Watching the tides at sea.

Anaya and Ann Foster - Thanx - Nationalism Exposed By Me Alone Here

In 1897 Theodr HERZL created the Zionist Movement, but his great work helped create the State of Israel in 1948. Where is the State of Zion? Perhaps he meant the Israelist Movement rather than Zionist?

Long before USA and revisionism were born, the Prophet Nehemiah - in exile with The Chosen people in Persia - dreamed and worked for RETURN to, and REBUILDING of, the Walls of the TEMPLE in Zion:

"The King [of Iran/Persia] said to me, 'What is it you want?' Then I prayed to the God of heaven, and I answered the King, "if it pleases the king and if your servant has found favour in his sight, let him send me to the city in JUDAH where my ancestors are buried so that I can rebuild it."

Premium MemberJohn Watt Poem Comment

If John (or Jane), a spouse (or bike) can bring butt pain
and some fools in pursuit of mere bliss think both tools.
Most fighters win rounds (one or two). But do they fight to win (for you)?
Some might say I’m a blighter. Still, new bikes are lighter!

There are good wines that age, but the best wine IS vintage.
If courtesy’s a subtle art, integrity’s its dearest part!
Life (flat out) can mean bugs in your eye, though you fly!
Ride uphill grants a clearer view; this world’s not you!

Krakatoa Kritic #007

My poem is more a humorous comment on the human tendency toward
revisionism (I hope) than a criticism of John’s sly original poem with its twist.

This light-hearted free verse rates a ‘10!’ I enjoyed it, John, though I prefer rhymes!

Bonefied

Rationality exorcised,
Culturally terrorized,
Freedom lost in the blink of an eye,
Federal coercion,
Statewide indignation,
Selling flag nooses for resuscitation,
Christianity stifling,
ISIS plea-bargaining,
Embracing flawed ideology without even reading,
"Societal oppression",
Active aggression,
Against the bystanding citizen and the egalitarian opposition,
Educational revisionism,
Internal terrorism,
All in the name of matriarchal Marxism,
Gender criminalized,
Youth institutionalized,
Submitting future generations to intellectual genocide,
With a porcelain mask of pseudo-benevolence,
You spew lies and propaganda demanding executive orders of masculinity's temperance,
So with societal lynchings,
Your dogma is breaching,
The foundations of animosity,
Into the world of pure insanity.
