May the impulse that's not love drenched ~
Be from our consciousness retrenched

On a Lonely Bench

Sitting on a lonely bench,
Memories got me blenched,
Your heart I tried to clench,
Though, the rains got me drenched,
From hearts I needed to entrench...

Your words not retrenched,
From things I wanted to bent,
While you often tended to bend,
Without letting me mend...

You, I tried to fend,
You borrowed and erased the times I used to lend,
Manipulated and used by you,
Pretending to be a friend...

From hallows I ascended
From errors you descended,
My life wished to be attended.
Even though, you got me expended,
My hands were still extended,
Even though, you got me offended...

The times I misspended,
You still condescended me,
Though, the changes were about to be impended,
I was still amended,
And I was still intended...

But, I was not comprehended,
Even though, you were condemned and untamed,
While I was aimed to be blamed,
Still, more thing you wanted to borrow and gain...

Although, this is the end,
The ways, I will paint,
For the pains to get unbended,
As I contemplate nature and life,
With memories that swayed and portended,
As my soul slowly transcended,
While sitting on a lonely bench...

Retrenched Women

RETRENCHED WOMEN

The soul aches
    numbs the brain
          Pictures float away of women
             crying, laughing, ironing sheets
thinking about jobs and sex
         finding work and
              cooking cheap spaghetti

Playing with malnourished children
     recovering from trauma, turmoil
        turbulence, schizophrenia
             from wombing life and giving
                              garlands of open hands

Badweek

Like two ticks off a midnight, when the minutes drag for days,
my life was in a shamble and my mind was just a daze.

It started Monday morning after I had been retrenched,
The water pipes had burst and all my furniture was drenched.

Tuesday saw my naked out the front without a key,
Amid the smoke and rubber where my car's supossed to be.

N' Wednesday was the night that my old buddy says to me,
The girl I've seen for eighteen months' been seeing him for three.

A stroll down to the local for a "strong" one seemed the call,
'Cept happy hour'd been cancelled and was now the monthly brawl.

Friday all I did was wear an icepak on my head,
In terror knowing that it could be worse....I could be dead.

Premium MemberPurple Haze

No more this verdant sight no more the sound
No more the heart of mist at nature’s dawn
No more victims of constant pressure found
No more the fool of man’s enactment borne.

To worship a foundation so ancient
The last bastion of one’s ancestor
Then one bears scars of prudence so poignant
When complied to appease the molester.

Our Fathers who wove within nature’s loom
So soon eras of memories destroyed
When at the mercy of Europe’s new broom
Leaving many dreams retrenched redeployed.

Hearts and minds linger still at Purple Haze
Ghostly cascades of falling tears amaze!

For all the farmers systematically force from their lands
in a orchestrated albeit subtle way
after the UK joined the European common market 1970's
A Poem about of one of those farms "Purple Haze"
