Captive

 Love doesn't try to tie you down
held hostage, gagged and bound.
Restraints won't keep love close to your heart
chained by your side, never to part.
The harder you try to make love stay,
you'll only find you've pushed it away.
Love can't be tested like a child in class
There are no rules to making love last.
Loves' not cut and dry; it's not black or white
Love is not about being wrong or right.
Love is trust and faith and simply believing
that Love free to go is Love that's not leaving.

Diagnosis Disease

"Bpd"
My legs are falling off
Ripping from my body 
My eyes are melting
"ADHD"
My head 
It will explode
Don't you see?
"Manic Depressive, Manic Episodes?"
This disease it is me
It laughs it shrieks
My blood vessels have branded 
Into themselves 
Into my soul 
It's Memory 
"Bipolar."
"Mood swings. Anxiety. Try this medication please"
Straight jacket laugh
Writhe against my restraints
I have buried 
That girl
In the ashes of yesterday
Still 
The cage is iron not steel
Strong enough
Weak enough
I will never heal

Locked down justice

Nothing good ever came out of hell 
we all can see the enemy works on people's fear 
The fruits of disaster has been sewn into those consenting 
freedom has the choice to move without restraints attached 
removal of these rights has turned the system of law upside down 
passing laws that amount to curfew status in a time of war 
dictators that close down all opposition and homegrown truths 
The twisted tongues of oppression manipulate words forked 
a new breed of public figures emerge justifying murder 
control the masses and you have an army defending the deceiver

Attempt, attempt, attempt, I try, I do,
but find success a frightful,fretful sort 
of creature.—.landing always just so short
for you,—my victories?: far less than few.

From void to verse then verse now void,—but you
reject my voice,else’y*u[ / , u ]d*stort
it, and to good will ill intent impart;
My inspiration, skewered by your view,

lies fallow in your lap.—Tell, what’s the use
of baring open heart and mind and soul
when evil’s understood the sole (and whole)
ground of my poetry? — — rather a noose
than these restraints!, ach! and the love you reek
of, it struggles with my fine nose. I speak.

The Art of Identity

The words
cease to resonate,
not my voice's fault
nor the walls,
it is the absence of
my yang,

sister self;
emerging,
new world
unsheathing its 
unease:
there were two
cries of joy.

Reverberation or
affirmation,
and was there ever
a difference
in the sando shops 
where we stole 
tuna mayo onigiri,
or in the hospital,
where we were no longer
wide-eyed and 
buck-toothed,

and you learned
your husband was infertile;
you hadn’t seen
your reflection
in years,
no matter how much
I tried 
to see mine,

so in the bridges
where the futatsu dirty
faced bandits
used to roam;
one on the side
where the stars
could greet her
and the other
facing the earth
and its restraints,
only tremors
from our lips,
identical tones;
I was your shadow,
you, the moon.

Now; in the barren
cadence of one-half
of a voice,
with her half message,
the hitotsu
phantom warrior
cuffed herself
to the hand-made robes
and teary-eyed skies
of her memories.

Love You When

I love you even on the hardest days,
When the darkest of nights seem to stay.

I love you every second that I breathe,
With literally everything, my mind, body, soul, even my teeth.

I love you unconditionally free of restraints
I love all your pieces, even the ones that you hate.

I love you for what you’ve overcome
For things that would be scary for some.

I love the things that made you, you
The ones that make this love, ours, true.

I was fooled

The curvature with the bumps seen well carved,
My innate restraints were blatantly starved.
Her faint silhouette, my lust suddenly craved,
With the entrance to her paradise paved.

She swayed like shadows of an hourglass cast,
My hands, drawn to her fullness, held steadfast.
With nature’s finest art upon her chest,
Sensuous sweats soaked through my thin white vest.

Suddenly, the sky grumbled and turned grey,
Lightning sent sudden glimmers down my way.
I was tricked by the deceit of darkness;
'Twas the rain that showed my mental starkness.

The rain poured down torrents of its own tears,
While my own tears remained unseen by peers.
Who would have believed that darkness fooled me?

I see Seagulls and Saints
	And icy sills of Window’s
Restraints of blurred realities 
And unaccompanied Complaints
But clearly every pray ends 
In amends and Amens 
And incitant constraints 

I see syllables in Sawgrass 
A syllabus of things passed
Down in hands of hand me down
Phases and phrases 
Of false praise promises of
Devine Salutations extended to
	The someone just behind me

I see sunsets and bad bets 
In this and that complications of
Unfinished pages of equivocations
On the road to Emmaus, 
(about seven miles from Jerusalem)
“Stay with us” we plead 
 for it is nearly evening and the day is almost done.” 
So he went and broke bread 
	And then fled as their eyes opened. 

And That’s when I saw 
Seagulls and Saints 
Dining in fields 
of locust and wild honey

for the light that lights all light

for the light that lights all light

as we dance a dance emersed in the glorious realm of the infinite
For a moment to leap in freedom...a spirit of airborne desire 
Set afire this neverending mystery pulsing of Holy love 
for the light that lights all light 
forever adorn
each
beautiful spirit-soul
passing through
for now, the ultimate unknown

dance

oh' spirit

touch beauty

a realm 

infinite 

of airborne

desire...

to leap

without restraints

forever

endless

for the light 

that lights 

all light

an eternal

passage

calling onward

never changing

awaiting 

our own

arrival 

[]

gathering all that is good

holding it deep within

proving that of belief

shall conquere 

all fear

with faith with hope with love

revered

as we glance in the mirror

pushing onward

we climb above

New Creatures

Omniscient creatures.

In the starving dawn. 

To native skin reborn. 

Run free.

For we exist. 

Surrender restraints. 

As today lends a gift.

This way.

To unborn love. 

Androgynous sonics.

Twice rendered from above.

Have you seen this dream?

No?

Well sink into the night.

Dream in all hues.

Awaken to secret fires.

And the rebirth of you.

The rest remembered.

giving us courage so we can:
Achieve with commitment by His graciousness
Accept challenges through His goodness
Act along character of gratefulness
Avoid carnality that is grievous
Accomplish for Christ’s glory

Acts 28:38 Praise be to the Saviour for 
allowing us to preach His kingdom while: 
Trusting His timeliness
Teaching about His truth
Toiling midst tests and trials
Testifying along His trustworthiness
Treading upon His turf and tarrying in His temple. Amen!

The Rules Of War

We are admonished by guardians of civilization
to battle the enemy with due civil restraints
Yet with a nagging visceral realization
we know wars are not fought by saints

Rules of war shield all children from harm
disallowing rape and torture and pillage
soothing unease, assuaging alarm
reassuring every town, farm and village

Long ago Sherman warned us war is hell
as knowing heads bowed with grim words unspoken
Now lulled into another innocent naive spell
we learn again rules are meant to be broken

I’ve long forged flinty chains, 
Stamped out and branded, my restraints,
Given voice to contented folly 
Then pierced my heart with demon holly. 

To assess blame with shame,
Spilling stain upon my name,
Is laid across my shattered feet
As ultimately I compose my defeat.
