Premium Member -Oi Marmite Man

I know things have been quiet on the “ Mite-y Spread Front”
But do not be dismayed
Yeasty business brews in the Vegemite Camp
That is all I have to say….

It will take some time to come to fruition
But Marmite Man beware
“Remember sleep with both eyes open”
Always “yes” always….Be prepared!!

Just a friendly reminder Sir Tom
That we will continue this when the time is right
Our ongoing little banter feud
Of which is the superior Mite!!

So, NO resting on your laurels Marmite Man
Make sure your jar lids are tightly screwed on
As soon you will hear melodic Vegemite voices singing
The “Vegemite is pure delight, Marmite is pure sh**e” song!!

Message To a Grandson

May you be twice as happy this year,
As you were last year,
And for every year after that,
Giving twice the pleasure,
You gave last year,
And every year after that,
To those who love you most.

May your best years always be ahead of you,
So that you are always looking forward,
To something twice as good,
And not resting on your laurels,
Pining for what can never be again.

And when you do look back,
It should not be in anger,
But to marvel at how far you have come,
Despite the many setbacks,
And how much more is ahead for you.

PS May you take twice the precautions,
You did the year before,
As you double the risks,
So those who love you most,
Can keep on doubling their pleasure.

Love Granddad.

The Politician's Golden Rule
By Franklin Price

The politician's golden rule
I'm sad to say is true,
Is to do it unto others,
Before they do it unto you

When running for an office
It's all about yourself
Get elected any way you can
Take your morals from the shelf

Dig up all the dirt you can
Smear your opponent's name
Doesn't matter, true or not,
That's how you play the game

No resting on your laurels
For they're politicians too
Hit fast and hit the hardest
They'll be coming after you

It's not about the best for all
It's the best for number one
Hit your opponents when they're down
Politics are so much fun

If you are elected
Look back on how you ran
Keep the politician's golden rule
To keep the pork within your pan

If politicians cared for others
There's the real life Golden Rule
I apologize, I do digress,
Would not want to play the fool
