It seems, to me, there was a time when politicians cared about the people.
The Politician's Golden Rule By Franklin Price 2/12/2019 The politician's golden rule I'm sad to say is true, Is to do it unto others, Before they do it unto you When running for an office It's all about yourself Get elected any way you can Take your morals from the shelf Dig up all the dirt you can Smear your opponent's name Doesn't matter, true or not, That's how you play the game No resting on your laurels For they're politicians too Hit fast and hit the hardest They'll be coming after you It's not about the best for all It's the best for number one Hit your opponents when they're down Politics are so much fun If you are elected Look back on how you ran Keep the politician's golden rule To keep the pork within your pan If politicians cared for others There's the real life Golden Rule I apologize, I do digress, Would not want to play the fool
